Good news I suppose for those who want an improved ESB Fett, but I'm still sticking with HT's ROTJ Fett. Now the current SSC fig is REALLY gonna take a nose dive on its resale value.

How truly bizarre. I still have my original one and still like it--don't see a reason to upgrade even to the HT version.

The one thing I don't like about my SS version is the stubby forearms. It doesn't look like they fixed that on the new version either.

He's on the same Pro 1.1 body, but in the promo shot comparisons the new one cuts a better looking figure from improvements they made to the torso and the legs of the suit.

Thinking I will just get the improved chest armor and call it a day. Not worried about a removable rocket. It is mostly the same figure with a few improvements and much less as far as accessories.

Wonder if this one be full of QC issues like the recent Jango. I'll stick with the Hot Toys one when I decide to pre-order a Boba. Funny how a re-release is $25 more and takes away one of the best parts of the original release in the light up base.

A re-issue of a Sideshow figure?

Looks the same to me, I don't trust the color change in the paint... and the flightsuit looks way too dark... shows off his ankle belts nicely though.


This is a truly odd move from a company that I no longer understand.

Hmmm... So time to cash in on Star Wars renewed interest and just "re-release" and old fig with less stuff for more money?? Shame on you SS... No reason to re buy this guy.. Maybe just pick up new chest armor and backpack when parted out. The new color green is interesting though, but like others have said, not much faith in their proto figures making it to final product. A definite wait and see game. Here's a better comparison side by side to better see.

My non-collecting brother was the first to reveal this today. Him getting a toy scoop on me is beyond rare and bizarre. I couldn't even explain what was going on with this for him as I was completely caught off guard. No pre-order news or fuss about it. Very strange. I can't help but think this was supposed to a RotJ Fett until HT came up with theirs and they had to put that on hold and try ESB again.

All of these re-releases with slight tweaks (Reaper General) is very unlike Sideshow and its going to hurt their limited edition credibility IMO in the long run.
