Well, how much below retail are we talking?:dunno

If it's in the $180 range - where it should have been - then that's a no-brainer. If it's over $200, you can buy it from one of the retailers for that (I think it was $205 somewhere non-EX)

:goodpost:

Could the Star Wars license be that much to drive the cost up? Looking at other sideshow figures for sale now on their website and they are all pushing $200 or more regardless of the license. Green Lantern is $220. I am not sure this is just a "Star Wars" thing, and I can't imagine that Game of Thrones doesn't have competitive licensing costs.

No, it's not the license fee. Look at what the HT Star Wars figures cost in China, before SS adds their markup. HT is still paying a license fee and making a nice profit when they sell their SW figures for $150 - $200 in China.

Also, I just got my Spacetrooper from Sideshow and they charged me like $20 for shipping. There is NO QUESTION that they are totally overcharging for shipping. That is sick and totally desperate. I hope they go out of business soon.

I think that Luke fits in with the Hot Toys figures quite well.

Collected by UPS in Hong Kong along with the TIE Pilot. No scheduled delivery date yet, but the TIE Pilot is Thursday 26th.

Unless there's delays as there are with Luke Stormtrooper. :panic:

Where did you get those numbers? Budget Stark mentioned in one of his vids that SSC figs are more expensive than HT figures in Asia. I thought he more than what they are through Sideshow.

Nice pic - he looks great there and on-par with the HT figs!

That pic rocks! The subdued orange looks good too.

I was looking at Chakaman's pics and the SSC looks noticeably darker/more red than the Hasbro jumpsuit. Interested to compare in-hand.

Right now I can get it for 200, but may be able to do better in trade for some parts. But I have to decide fairly soon.

that's about the point I'd think about it, but I don't think the figure is going to be a fast seller at $240 so I may just continue to wait to see if I can grab it for $180 level. I must say though, SSC figs don't drop these days like the older ones did.

There's obviously a few questions about the head, but the big issue since day one has been the price.

he looks great with the helmet on. but im kinda bummed that both this one and hot toys missed the "mark" on hamill. i asked kit chen if any of the sculptors are considering doing any lukes and apprently it sounds like one or a couple are in the works. maybe we should get iminime to take a go. we need awesome sculpts of these awesome characters!

Yeah... not going to happen. Iminime aren't ever going to tackle a HT property, EVER.

What seller do you buy from? That's a great deal.

I stopped by In's Point Mall a few weeks ago and they were selling Hot Toys Stormtrooper 2 packs for $330 US and single Stormtroopers for about $170 US. That's like the regular "retail" price there. Through Sideshow they were $400 and $200.
