Wooooowwwww.... no stand? Really? $240 and no cloak, no probe droids, and no stand???

This is 10x worse than the Green Lantern. Anyone from SSC want to come on here and give an explanation like you did with Green Lantern?

Don't think the 1st Maul came with the probes, they were a expansion set sold separately. But the price of this

Yes, the Inclusive Maul required an Expansion Pack.... for the full Exclusive experience.... which never happened again.

I'm sure this will come with a stand. The AT-AT driver shows a black stand but doesn't say it comes with a stand. I'm sure SS is doing the same. The cloak makes sense because it's the duel version. I'm sure they wanted some differences from the first release. Sculpt isn't spot on but the paint apps are great. Of course this is from a paint master and will not expect the same level of craftsmanship from their factory. After all, this is SS we're talking about here. These prices are RIDONCULOUS.

So I guess SSC will redo Anakin next with no clothing, just a head and body and charge $300.

Luke was also on the short body... but his head was quite large. Maul's head was smaller, but I think still a bit large for the body, but better than Anakin or Obi-Wan. So we might be saying the same thing, I just wasn't sure what you meant by in-scale as I think most of the figures were fairly in-scale to themselves with the exception of Luke who had the large head, hands and long arms to contend with.

You bring up some good points. You should let them know how you feel. How else will they learn and turn back to the Good side?

Everyone should write a letter to be honest. But no one will. It is pointless. Me not buying anything again from SSC will not change anything. You not buying anything from SSC will not change anything. This whole forum not buying anything from SSC would not change anything sadly. I feel like they are raising prices because they are losing money. Maybe not, I could be and probably am wrong, just a theory. Today people rather cry and complain on a forum for countless months about stupid stuff rather than implement any real change whether it is for a toy company or to government policies.

I wonder how much it would cost to buy into Sideshow, like 51% of the company for a majority share.

I like the figure, but I'm not willing to pay that outrageous price. That's at most a $200 figure.

Yeah, it probably would be. Look at Kylo Ren. $225 for a light up lightsaber, better body, stand included, and possibly a more complicated design overall.

Sideshow really dropped the ball on this one. Yeah Luke is over-priced too but I think a lot of fans will look past that based on how iconic of a character Luke is and definitely so as Red 5. Maul is cool and everything and definitely needed an upgrade from the first release, but the fact that he is associated with arguably the most disliked of the thus far 6 films doesn't seem to be a good selling point. This will easily be passed up by a lot of die-hard fans. Sideshow needs to realize that they aren't Hot Toys and that that's okay. Quit trying to compete with price when you can't even compete with quality.

Not defending the price, but by the time Hot Toys gets to Maul, I wouldn't be surprised if the average price matches or exceeds the current price for this barebones figure. Hot Toys would probably include a stand though.

I'd say it would be about the same price, maybe $10 more...

But would include that cool cloak, and that silver bracelet and likely even one of those Probe Droids... plus varying lightsabers AND a light-up one (dual-sided).

Not by the time they make him (if they do) but at least it will be fully loaded with accessories. I've tried to understand the lack of them on this figure and i just can't. I can't at all.

I don't think he was joking. You pretty much summed up the whats and whys of how I feel about SSC pretty well.

You had me until point 4. It would be ludicrous to expect a 1:6 vehicle thrown in for $240. Other accessories along with binoculars and whatnot would've gone a long way to making this more appetizing for the price.

Yeah, you got me on that one. I was definitely exaggerating, but for the price they are charging, we really need more.
