Pretty much every Bond girl in the Craig era has died :lol vesper and woman riding horse on beach from casino royale, strawberry fields from Quantom, M and silvas woman in skyfall. Even the Bond girl voiced by joss stone in the PlayStation game 'bloodstone' dies :lol It's only olga kurylenko who made it.

So if Bond was in Star Wars, not only Ben would die, but also Han, Chewie, 3PO and R2 would be dead... Leia might die in his arms as well... but in the plus column, Vader would have definitely been killed (or thrown in Bond's trunk for a rough ride back to HQ).

And did anybody else think the girl from Skyfall was the hottest bond girl in the Craig era? Omg she was so gorgeous especially without all that over-done makeup when they first met. Too bad Silva just wasted her.

Well, then...I guess there's that. I hope this attitude didn't affect Spectre.

Way I read that, I'm not worried, it sounds like he's burnt out on meeting the demands of the role and is burnt out doing it but has great respect for the character, movies and the genre and wants his successors to show the same. Sounds like he gives it his all but because he gives so much he doesn't want to step back in the role right now, I can't blame him.

Definitely, she was too short lived.

Bizarre- he seems to be done. Time for Cavill !!
Setiously too bad Nolan has a new project lined up already- Sony should offer him a chance to direct the next one with his choice for a new Bond
Sometimes I think Craig's coments are just to hype up the box office to see his last outing...

I know right. I mean these films seem like they are meticulously made from costumes to camera angles and all and certainly I understand not wanting your career defined by one role but that's quite a way of feeling about it lol. I know nothing of how Daniel Craig is in real life and maybe he's just very laid back but at least on paper he seems like he has nothing but animosity towards the franchise right now or at least the process behind it.

I always thought he looked bored through Quantum of Solace. But he'll likely never have a film that is as successful as Skyfall and to cross the one billion dollar mark then want nothing to do with it (and compare it to suicide on top of that) just seems kind of harsh about it. Lol

Its weird to say all that then come back and say respectful things then not give a **** at all about who replaces him about it unless it's mostly tongue-in-cheek.

Maybe it's not even tied to the films, maybe press are just so up in his face with all these questions he's trying to discourage them with such a dramatic answer. Maybe he loves the role and the movies but not the hype that comes when the cameras stop. Plenty of actors have come to regret roles and such because they didn't know how things would be with fans and press and couldn't deal with it.

Yeah I wonder what fuels that. Strong feelings though to be sure.

Absolutely. I wonder if that interview was part of one of those sessions where he was interviewed by a multitude of reporters, maybe that was towards the end of the day and he was burnt out, who knows.

I tend to take written interviews less serious than videos where you can see what's going on with the actor. For all we know he could have been laughing through that comment, it's not false to write down his quote, but there's no context to it.

That article is fake, has to be.

"They don't make movies like this anymore.".... what? Sure they do, all the time in fact. Bond producers should know, they steal enough material from other movies.

Wow.

“Look, I don’t give a f—. Good luck to them,” Craig said when asked if he cared who played Bond next. “All I care about is that if I stop doing these things we’ve left it in a good place and people pick it up and make it better.”

Right now, the blue-eyed Bond, who appears next in “Spectre,” can’t fathom doing another 007 film.

“Now? I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists,” Craig said. “No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.”

Goodbye you ungrateful jerk.

Uh, yeah he either didn't say that, or he was just f__king with them because that seems to be the only question reporters ask him now. If you'd just finished doing a highly anticipated film, put everything you had into it, and also respected everyone involved, you wouldn't go and say "I don't give a f__k. I'd only do the next one for the money" without meaning it in a sarcastic, 'stop asking me that question' kind of way.
