Dunno if this is the best place to put it but I got two extra recruits that I'm willing to sell to board members at cost + shipping + paypal fee

As you can see in the pic they are still sealed in their shipping boxes.

For now only US buyers. I'm thinking 220 + 17.50 ship + pp fee which will be added when I send the invoice via Paypal. Will do paypal only for now as a reg transaction so that both buyer / seller get the pp protection.

I am duytn on Ebay.

PM me if interested :D

Anyone want to post photos/reviews of their Thornes to try to convince me to buy him? I REALLY want to want Thorne, but I'm feeling sour after Master Chief...

Also, does anyone know if ThreeA will be at NY Comic Con? I want to talk to them about the Halo line at the show, but I don't see them on the exhibitor list. But I think they're at someone else's booth and not their own usually...

I posted my pictures of the Recruit a few posts up, Thorne is the same figure in a different color scheme.

I think they're usually at Diamond Comics' booth?

Go to Page 195 - My unboxing and comments about Thorne. Im not going to convince you to buy it. Let you make that decision.

I actually received my replacement Thorne today and I am happy to report that the LEDs work on this one. IMO this is the best Spartan that ThreeA have produced so far. The arms joints are better, the magnets are stronger, and his overall poseability is improved. I hate the battery installation processes but after it was over I was rewarded with a pretty impressive light show as opposed to MCs pathetic helmet lights. It sometimes took some fiddling but I was able to get him to hold every weapon I threw at him. As for the negatives: the aforementioned battery install isn't pretty and his paint job is a far cry from the official photos. Thankfully, I still like is production paint job but your mileage may vary.

In the end, it is sad that arguably the least popular of all the Spartans released so far is probably the best quality. This figure really highlights the issues that MC suffers from and I wish we could all exchange our MCs for a 2.0 version that has Throne's improvements. Nevertheless, I am happy with my purchase and I now hope that a Locke might end up on my shelf someday (along with the remaining Noble team).

any of you are aware the blunder that ThreeA did with the Master Chief 1/6 scale figure. While the figure is far from perfect, I would love to see more Halo figures come out. A quick tutorial review of customizing the ThreeA Halo Master Chief 1/6 Scale figure. In the video I talk about the mods I did to the shoulder armor, thigh armor, magnets, rubber paint job and sharpie weathering.

Materials
Craft knife
Crazy Glue
Brush
Silver Sharpie
Citadel Paint - Abaddon Black

Appreciate all the photos and videos guys. Makes not having one a lot easier until I get my hand on one. Chief looks great with the black undersuit.

haha its been my pleasure to comment, but since I cant get a refund on this figure, I might as well spread the word how great 3A have been with every release..........NOOOOOOOT

Thanks for the info. Still seems like one too many questionable components to spend a quarter grand on. Especially when we see other companies producing MUCH higher quality figures for the same price.

Yeah it's true that these things costs a lot and yet the quality is just so so or on par with the rest of the series.

It's like taking a sidestep with every release. (Apart from mc. That's a few big steps back) there's always something fixed and then something new broken. You don't really see the attention and care in these figures for what they charge. It boils down to how high your acceptance level.

Honestly if I was given the chance from the beginning to decide if I would buy 3A halo series, I would not have started it at all. That should tell you how I feel about the series overall.

I have very mixed feelings about the Chief. I am of course upset that MC ended up being the worst out of the 3A halo line and that we were essentially lied to about the posability of the figure. However, with that said, I still like the figure. I would LOVE a 2.0 with numerous improvements. But weeks later, I still find myself glancing over at this figure and amazing at how great it looks. He just looks awesome. Though, he is a very frustrating figure to mess with. At the end of the day, I totally understand the outrage and I think it is very justifiable, but I still love having this guy on my selves.

I agree with you, it was a piss poor job on the execution of the figure but it is well detailed and sculpted. A few fixes like shoulder mod and repaint drastically improves his appearance
