This has to be a BAD BAD joke- there is smply no way Disney would ruin it by bringing back strong echoes of the PT. Say it ain't so Solo!

Did you just describe AOTC with those words :thud:

:lol

Yes yes, I know...
It was my least favourite film for a while, but seeing it again actually made me appreciate it more.
Of course it has cringe-worthy moments, but so do all Star Wars movies (not as many). But I do believe the PT movies are very underrated.

People forget that all of the prequels were pretty well rated when they came out 60% or better which is pretty great.
They certainly could have been better, but I still watch them from time to time.

If they bring him back it better be to help introduce Ahsoka Tano to the film series.

That would be awesome if that happened. :yess:

It'd be nice to see Hayden as Anakin again. I really don't think he's as terrible as most fans say.

I agree, IMO he's not Oscar worthy but he isn't as bad as some fans make him out to be.

It takes a really good actor to bring something to the screen even when the director doesn't know how to talk to actors (lookin' at you George). Hayden never really stood a chance.

He's middle of the road in his skillset, but in a hands of a good director... he might be tolerable for a cameo.

I really like the subtle connections Lucas made to the OT. For example in ROTS Anakin saves the Palpatine from falling down a shaft , in ROTJ he throws him down a shaft…little things like that.

I'd argue Portman was the second worst after Christensen. She was laughably bad in Ep III.

Ewan and Liam were the only ones who could survive those ****** scripts.

No one really survived those scripts......how about a where are they now for every damn actor who was in those steaming piles .....ruined Ewen forever, Portman has not recovered. Forget Hayden......

I would just like to say that back when the Episode 2 commercial came out and people remember that difference in acting from film... I for one after 13 years for 2 and 10 years for 3 like to know how many takes did George do of each scene??? Maybe that was result of bad acting in the actors? I mean we are talking about a man who keeps adding in, could you imagine being in the cut and him picking each take and making a film? To me that was the prequels..

The problem was that George Lucas isn't a very good writer and as a director he has problems relating to actors, ergo he is a terrible director.

He's a technical director. He pushes the technology forward at the expense of the human element.

That too.

George is a great ideas man. But the problem with "ideas men" is they need a soundboard to bounce their ideas back and forth with; someone who will tell them when an idea doesn't work or feel ballsy enough to suggest something better. Surround an "ideas man" with "yes men" and the potential to get nothing but glossy shiny crap expands exponentially.

:exactly:

No one dared challenged him on the script or decisions he made. NO ONE. You all see the results- the PT.

This is exactly what happened. Makes me wish Gary Kurtz was around at that time to tell George that his ideas sucked.
