HT will never get Xmen license unless Wolverine so I just support third party this time. 20th century fox is not generous with their license. I had a feeling a high price of DOFP Wolverine because 20th century fox ask that much for licensing.

Fox don't have majority control of the licensing Disney does. They have the say if things get made or not, they're why their is little to no movie merchandise.

Your incorrect on about every point. hot toys has gotten the xmen license. They have it for dofp, x3, origins. All from Fox. Fox has no problem giving the license. Th problem is the actors all retain individual likeness rights and have either declined to allow their likeness to be used or asked way to much money. All except Hugh Jackman. It has nothing to do with Wolverine. It's not becuase fox won't provide the license. It's because the actors individually. So pretty much everything you said was wrong.

Incorrect again. There is little movie merch becuase there is little interest from vendors. Both Fox and Marvel have the same ability to approve or disallow merch. The issue is the actors retain their own likeness rights in the xmen franchise. Meaning any vendor or merchandise manufacture has to get individual approval from each actor to use their likeness. And the main actors for each film have all either declined to give likeness deals or asked to much money. So, again, incorrect. This is why there are 8000 different conspiracy theory's. People keep using incorrect info to explain things.

In either case though, evidence seems primarily based on assumptions and hearsay. I haven't seen much concrete evidence one way or the other, though this article, which is probably fairly authoritative, suggests profits are split: Forbes Welcome Given that, my guess would be that both would have to sign off on any merchandise, but who knows? Howard Chan noted that likenesses provided difficulties, but was mum on whether it was Fox or Marvel making an ultimate determination on what would be licensed.

But one thing I can say with certainty is that the X-films have received merchandise, as you say. Beyond the Hot Toys figures, we've seen Minimates for each of the last several X-films (DOFP, the Wolverine, First Class, Wolverine: Origins, X3). So someone is licensing them out, just not very much (Diamond also was planning on doing a more realistic DOFP Mystique, that was apparently shut down due to J-Law's concern over likeness). My intuition suggests that it does have more to do with commercial viability than Marvel trying to stick it to Fox or whatever.

Yeah most of its is speculation, as it where. I happen to have first hand knowledge. But it's not all speculation. Howard explained in an interview years ago the issues with the xmen license.

When a license is given out in the xmen case you have to get it from Fox, marvel and each individual actor. This is fact not speculation. It's been discussed publicly. Fox and marvel gave the license the Hot toys. See the prof X proto and dofp wolverine and x3 wolverine as proof. It's been publicly discussed that the diamond select mystique figure was cancelled becuase Jennifer L did not sign the rights over. No company is going to make and show a prototype without having the license from both the movie(fox) and the property and merchandising rights holder (marvel).

If you believe me or not is not important. The evidence and history demonstrates that what the posters I replied to where saying was not supported by anything. fox and marvel have signed the rights deals. That's fact. One actor has signed likeness deals. That's fact. Howard has stated that each actor has to approve xmen figures. Again fact. Diamond select stated mystique actress denied approval this canceling any projects. Fact again. The total split and which company gets paid what is speculation. That afassbender and others have denied giving deals is speculation. I just happen to have my own firsthand experience. My family studio tried to get a deal to make a fassbender magneto statue and where told by afassbender a reps he was flat out denying any likeness deals at that time. Doesn't matter if you believe me or not on that, the other stuff is well documented.

I just hope this company is faster than Threezero. Is that Sabretooth already released? If so, I wonder what the reveal to release period was.
