I was doing the daily bounties with my Titan and got a strange coin. I was thinking: "that reminds me. I wonder what Xur is selling today..."
When I got there and it was Gjallarhorn, I bought a couple of them. I have the first one halfway levelled up already.

You can keep track of what Xur is selling with Destiny App. It's a very handy app,especially to move gear between characters and the vault.

I think it's a shame he sold it.
I think it's great everyone can have one but it was one of the last fun elusive things about the game.

The fun of having one drop is something now denied for many. They should have just massively increased its drop rate or something.

There's probably not that many people that care enough to try for it. The long-term gameplay doesn't matter to most people, since it's mostly just making it difficult to get items rather than any meaningful content. Like what are you supposed to do after you get to level 34? You can try to get a particular piece of armor or weapon, but they aren't that amazing enough to go through the trouble.

Well that really sucks. All the countless hours grinding for the Gally to have Xur Sell it now. What a dumb stupid game. I just needed Truth to have every exotic in game but seeing Gally being Sold makes me Nerd Rage! Im done with this stupid game.

Yeah i I checked on the app. It's very handy. I Move my weapons about using it all day.

I only have about ten exotics, and love the game.
It's always a moment of excitement to get one. I understand how a completist might look at it(How many exotics ARE there in total???), to see something they "worked hard for" being sold, but i am hoping he is joking in the above post. Being upset that "other people are able to have what you have"(Joy at keeping it from them), is an incredibly negative mindset.

You can check the Destiny wiki to see what all the gear is in the game. But like I said, there's no weapons or gear that are so amazing that it's worth spending hours trying to get, the most there is to it is that they are hard to get which I don't think is a good enough reason to play that much. I only like using the Scout Rifle so there's little reason to want to find the other exotics.
