pass, Paltrow headsculpt is weak. Over priced. Easy pass.

Put just the Pepper figure on flexpay and used up the rest of my reward points. Already have the third-party Iron Man Pepper head and the thir party pepper figure, so I should be able to combine everything to make different versions.

Uhhhh, why couldn't this have been an out of the park sculpt so I could have instantly PO'd without regret? Not sure at this price. I guess we will wait and see how the PP fig progresses.

The price is exactly what I thought it'd be, and it's kind of weird that so many are backing out because she's $225. I mean, Maria Hill costs the same, and she comes with less. You COULD use the Toy Fair Exclusive argument, saying it adds $10 or so to the figure, but really, she's just another release...there seems to be plenty of her available! Black Widow, Scarlet Witch, etc...$225 is basically the new landing zone for figures. Trust me, I'd love it if the females continued to be $199.99! I think even a $20 jump would've been fine for most, but I mean, this shouldn't be so surprising where you're out if you were in.

THAT SAID, if you're scared off by the sculpt, then that's another story! I'll completely agree that they used a terrible body or whatever to display at this show. She doesn't look that bad at all in the promo pictures, and I can pretty much guarantee that Hot Toys will tinker with her and make her look normal. There's no way this is what's arriving on doorsteps when this ships...this is a prototype, and likely an early one.

So on the sculpt side of things, it's likely best to wait as I'm sure it'll improve. Or at least the sizing of it will! On the price side of things, I think people were really thinking this would land closer to Groot/Rocket, when that was never going to be the case. The HK pricing shows a big bump for sure, but I mean, a full Potts figure was never going to be $150 or whatever, while an Iron Man armor was $200! In a best case scenario they both would've landed at $200, which is where I had them at the very least.

Either way, I'm definitely out on the combo pack! I don't really want the armor, and it's too pricey to do it for extras. I'll be checking on local prices for Potts, and since this'll be a one shot for her, I'll likely jump if my dollar doesn't hold me back!

Ouch, I will admit I wasn't expecting the price to be that high. I'm going to think it over...I want the combo pack but I'm wondering if this may come up for sale eventually like the Cap two pack. I don't know what to do.

Tell you what, if I had no interest in Potts and just wanted the IM suit I'd be pissed that HT was roping people into buying a $440 set to get it. That sucks isn't available separately.

I agree...my decision would be much easier if I could just get the armor, I'd definitely just buy that alone.

I agree - I can see adding incentives to buy 2 packs but each figure should be available individually like Rocket and Groot were offered.

It really was kind of a **** move by HT to make the Mark 9 available only in the set with Pepper. Wise from a business standpoint, sure. But from our standpoint, it's a **** move.

Yeah it's a good set for those who want both and since Potts is available separately it would've been nice if it was the same case for the IX.

This kind of makes me wonder what antics HT will pull with the remaining HPP armors. Next thing you know, the plastic armors will come with 10 mini figures and be priced at $400.

I was all set to order this on flex pay at sideshow but with the price and uncertainty of the Pepper sculpt I just PO'd from BBTS. No flex and no NRD and free cancellation makes me feel better at this time. I just really want the MK IX and I missed out on Python so thats what keeps me in. Sucks you can't order the suit solo.
