It's messed up. As a company you should only show something if it's gonna be released. The whole gauging interest argument shouldn't even apply in this situation. It's called having trust in your product. They've got an almost endless goldmine with the Dragon Ball license and they know it. Maybe it could've flown when the line first started out but they better not keep doing that kind of stuff. I'm still waiting on Nappa. He's a necessary release!

I've come to the conclusion it's impossible to predict what they'll do next. They don't act on rationality or good business practice. They're a wildcard.

With the exception of Ultimate Gohan and showing a prototypes for SSJ4 Goku, Super Buu (only his absorbed versions), they've largely "ignored" the polls for the next few releases. They've sort of "gone off the tracks" but in a good way.

Not that I'm complaining, fans have been verbally demanding SSJ Vegeta and Trunks re-releases and we're finally getting them in "Premium Colors". SSJ Awakening Goku is totally an unexpected and amazing surprise and RoF Golden Frieza and SSGSS Goku are natural choices to go with the movie marketing.

Trunks is the "furthest" announced release. Slated for December/January. Who's next after that? I'd say likely we will see RoF Vegeta early on to carry on the wave of movie hype. And it's also rumored that Ultimate Gohan has been pushed back to that January time-frame as well.

Totally on Vegeta and Trunks, they even may have listened with the boot tips! Frieza Saga Goku, despite EVERYTHING going wrong with buying him, also shows that they listened since according to pwnstar I believe, Tamashii claimed we would love it, and we were all pretty happy at first.

Awakening Goku shows that they heard about the battle damage questions, but he was also unexpected.

It'll be interesting to see how Awakening Goku does in the Japanese market. That figure is a HUGE deal for Figuarts Dragon Ball when it comes to Japanese retail space. Obviously he's a no-brainer over here and will likely be the single top-selling DBZ Figuarts original release. But that figure is a critical business piece for Bandai-Tamashii and whether they decide to push more Dragon Ball Z Figuarts products BACK into Japanese brick 'n mortar stores.

I think if he does well, Bandai-Tamashii will slowly start pushing DBZ back into retail. But it will be "big deal" figure selections, not scrubs like Ultimate Gohan (Sorry! Haters gotta Hate! Not a fan of the figure!). I can see Majin/Buu Saga Vegeta being a retail release, as well as a proper Cell Saga Vegeta being a retail release. Any sort of Goku can potentially be a retail release as well, such as a "Version 2" Base/SSJ Goku with a new body sculpt. Let's be honest, Bandai-Tamashii has come far enough where they can "improve" and do better with the original Goku body sculpt.

I usually order from eBay but I’m currently looking at the pre-orders up at 808 Toys which are at pretty good prices.

I don't know if anyone here is ready to arrange a new poll but whenever someone is I'd really like to see a more open ended poll instead of one restricted to certain forums. Last year there was a poll here and a poll over at the DragonballFigures forum and I can't help but feel as if neither poll had any sort of impact (couldn't possibly know that for a fact, just how I feel). I would much rather see a poll set up on a separate site (maybe on the site that hosted the first known Figuarts poll? Help Pick the next DBZ SH Figuarts ) that can be sent to numerous forums, Ageless Geeks, and maybe some YouTube channels to get better results...then when all is said and done the results can be sent in to Bluefin.

Agree with everything said here, and I wold definitely love a 2.0 like release of the first super saiyan goku that helped start the line back in the beginning with piccolo. I don't count awakening goku as that, due the battle damage and all, but damn is that figure a great way to, in a sense, start the line down its new chapter so to speak. I'm sure next year will be a great year for the line if all of these new releases are any indication. Damn... my wallet's going to be hurtin' starting in September, maybe a bit sooner if I can find a sdcc 2015 goku for a decent price...

I could definitly see them doing a Goku 2.0. I mean they already gave Goku ACTUAL knees with Awakened so why can't they do the same for a fully clothed version? It could be exactly like Krillin only with longer, thicker legs. Will they do it? We all know Tamashii is cheapity cheap cheap but given the fact that they've been giving us a lot of new molds lately, it's a very real possibility now. SSJ2 Goku released alongside a Buu Saga/Majin Vegeta...the dream

I'd actually prefer for them to keep using the old Goku and Vegeta molds for all figures Cell Saga and below and then use 2.0 molds for all figures Buu Saga and upwards. More consistency that way. It would look strange if they come out with a Saiyan Saga Goku with an updated body including knees and posing it with a Buu Saga or RoF Goku without knees or updated sculpt. Consistency over all in my book! They could easily use the RoF Goku hair and paint it yellow and call it Buu Saga SSJ2 Goku. Add a few bangs to make it more accurate of course and it'd be perfect

That's a top-notch idea, prodigy. It would reflect the change in animation styles as well. I feel like the next natural step is the Buu saga, but I really would like to see them take a step back to the Saiyan Saga (I know we all want that too). I think Tamashii would kill a Raditz figure. I would just pose him getting pwned in every way possible. Raditz should come with a special beam cannon blast effect. Make up for not releasing it with Pickle ****.

EDIT: And Saibamen! A three-pack of Saibamen, and they could even do con exclusives in different colors.
