Little Kyle should be turned into T-Kyle by Matt Smith then fight the others, yeah I can see that happening.......

Based on this leaked photo the sequel is going the Transformers route with the new Terminator being called the T-6000.

The CGI T1 arnold was pretty cool, but cgi endo after was way too fluid, jumping all around,
tought he was going to dance to show how smooth and fluid he was

The post credit scene was ridiculous.

Damn they did kill any interest or potential future war movie...
Really wonder what **** they have prepared for the sequel...

Wonder what Paramount will do. I can't see them doing the next one as planned because of the response to this.
IF they do not proceed(smaller budget..non-Summer release date?) this franchise is over at least theatrically

Who needs any fighting at all now. Go all the way and make it a sit-com with the new Pops, Sarah and Reese dynamic.

That is a great idea

Did Pops see the T-800 get resurrected? I didn't think that he and Sarah knew that the chip was in jeopardy.

I don't get why some people even bother to think that way, it's like asking why Iron Man or Superman fight hand to hand when they can kill everything from a safe distance :lol

I gave it a 'first viewing' 7/10

I enjoyed it but probably won't take it seriously in my view of the canon, which is limited to Cameron's films. It's above T3 and T4 though for some of the very cool stuff that's in it.

I won't even compare TG with the Cameron films but it is way better than T3 and T4 :yuck

I also thought I of all people would hate this movie. And I may yet. It's early days. Don't give up on me :D

Saw it a second time and liked it even MORE...Go figure....I do feel badly for the makers and cast of the film on how lackluster it has done..too bad. It really is a fine Terminator film.

I think it's more interesting than those films for what it dares to do. T3 was nothing but a T2 rehash whose message amounted to ''judgement day is inevitable''...it really said nothing more than that and it wasn't particularly fun in the saying of it. T4 didn't have the sense to be a proper telling of the future war and wasted time making up new ***t just to needlessly stretch it out to 3 films.

At least Genisys shows some of those key future war events and then tries to change things up with a new inter-dimensional plot (going beyond the usual time travel) and it tries to show a ''might have been scenario'' if Uncle Bob had survived beyond T2 - not necessarily a direction I wanted to see, I really feel it put the final nail in the coffin of the T-800 Terminator as an intimidating character, he was a parody through and through in this film and probably will remain so if they make more - but at least it was an attempt at..... character development I suppose. Also I like that it explained the changing strategy of Skynet, how a talkative and personable machine might be something Skynet would attempt after all its previous failures - particularly by taking advantage of John Connor himself. At least somewhat interesting.

I think we'd all better just give up on Terminator movies being in line with T1 and T2. It will be far easier to enjoy them if we just take any made in future on their own terms.
