Someone on Facebook mentioned the biggest problem with releasing 1/6 Ripley figure for pre order is Sigourney Weaver not signing off on her likeness....any truth to that? I don't understand why they showed her last year yet haven't put her up for PO?

I thought her likeness rights were cleared recently. Isn't that why NECA was able to release figures of Ripley?

She has a reputation for not signing off, but she did on NECA's figures. I'm assuming there was some sort of assurance that it would be okay for HT as well, which is why they showed so many Ripley figures last summer. Hope she didn't change her mind.

I also assumed that HT had licensing, but come to think of it didn't it say "pending licensor approval" on the card next to her? So it wasn't 100% cleared at the time that they were showing it. ****, I don't think we're going to see this figure.
