I can see why many would rank Road Warrior as #1. It was the most influential; Friday the 13th obviously copied Humungus, Max also did biker leathers + shotgun before the Terminator, and then just all the generic pop culture references over the years like Phil Collins' Billy Don't You Lose My Number video and so on. It also had the best hero/villain back and forth with him and Wez starting with the very first scene and building all the way to the film's final crash. Like I said, just an all around solid classic.

I just prefer the journey of Fury Road, the action, music, and a greater number of characters over RW.

This could be the greatest movie of all time. All you need to add is Mad Max at sea... and Darth Vader behind the NaziSHARK.

Also, I see even Evilface -- Max's biggest supporter -- also calls it Road Rarrior.

Except right at the beginning of FR he says he was once a cop, a road warrior. Plus the prequel comics - written by Miller - will show what he does between BT and FR.

Yea but you just inevitably end up with Waterworld. The visual aesthetics seriously look exactly like a Mad Max movie on water right down to the bad guys and the bunkers/bases.
