I'm serious though. There are too many hints to suggest that he could be that kid.

"Max" feels out of character. He does his own narration in the beginning of the film, which he never does in previous films. In the second film it was the Feral kid talking and in the third film it was the female villain. Someone is always telling Max's story..not him. And in this film he sounds like he is mimicking the voice from the old Feral kid. Max doesn't sound Australian and he grunts at times, again something that the old Max didn't do, but the Feral kid did. At the beginning of the movie Max/feral says he was looking for righteous cause. The Mel Gibson Max never was looking for a righteous cause, he always got stuck in one but he was dragged into it.When Max eats the lizard, again out of character for someone who is from the old world. Max is bit more civilize, and eating a raw lizard like that is something that the feral kid would do since he grew up in the new world.

Max's new character is a lot more agile and athletic. Max is a driver, not an acrobat. Also, the new "Max" is very possessive of things, which the original Max wasn't because he wasn't materialistic, he lost his car, his dog, weapons, even his Jacket in the third film and he didn't give a ****, but in this new film, that's not the case with his car, boots, and jacket. Then, there's they eye, George Miller is known for his attention to detail, which is why he had Mel Gibson wear a contact lens in Thunderdome, so that his left eye looked dilated, because of the previous injury, and I didn't see that in this film. Also, not same jacket. Looks similar but it is a different jacket. If you look at the stitching on the left arm that attaches to the sleeve it is different stitching. Also he has what looks like medical tubing stuck in his jacket. The blonde woman who took care of him was a medic. Max wears all black and hardy wears a kind of off white long sleeve shirt similar to the rest of the characters in the refinery. The V8 that he uses, again...not the same, but similar. His back story is also different in this film. Why is it different if this film is not a reboot? I also thought it was weird when "Max" said, My name is...Max. That's my name." The way he said it almost sounded like he was giving himself the name of someone he looked up to, because the original feral kid never had a name.

There are several Feral Kid references. The music box, the fact that Max describes himself as a road Warrior, which is a term used only by the Feral kid, also Also Nux uses the word "Feral", to describe Max if I remember correctly in one scene. Tom Hardy's body language is also unique, when they tied the rig to the tree, "Max" runs in a very distinctive way, even when he was capture, he moves more like the feral kid. When Hardy was getting ready for the film, he said in an interview, that he wanted a "feral" physique. Again that word.

When George Miller was originally asked when does the film take place, he said after Thunderdome, and originally Heath Ledger was going to be in the tittle role, and who does he remind you of? Max? Not really, but he could be a grown up feral kid. Who knows? Maybe I'm looking into it a bit too much since I don't like Hardy as Max...and I just want Mel back.

Not going down w/o a fight.

MONDAY BOX OFFICE
That's actually considered longevity nowadays. :lol

I don't know how San Andreas is number one. My buddy wanted to see it, since it was the only new thing playing that we hadn't seen (I, personally, would've rather seen Fury Road again), and we were like the only two there. I don't regret seeing it, though, because we were basically doing our own MST3K deal the entire time where we just tore it to pieces, like the fact that the entire movie was literally a remake of the Climax of Superman '78.:lol

But I thought George already said Max in Fury Road is NOT the Feral Kid.

Also, he's listed in the credits as Max Rockantasky. Wouldn't he be listed as "Feral Kid aka" or are the credits in on the gag too?

Yeah, Hardy is clearly Max, not the kid. That being said I know it's fun to take what a movie gives you and interpret it in whatever manner is the most fun. I know that Ridley Scott has said that Deckard was a replicant but I think that's dumb and I never watch the movie with that in mind.

I don't think it's Feral kid. I think he was always with his group before becoming the leader.

This flick isn't really a sequel. For one thing, Max's kid was a infant boy, not a 5 year old girl.

George Miller says lots of things. I'm just saying, I wouldn't be surprised if in a second film, Max's "real" identity is revealed. As far as the credits go, he is "Max" in the film, that's what he calls himself and what they call him, besides if it's a "twist" in the next film, then having the name Feral in the credits would ruin that twist.

That girl wasn't Max's daughter though, that's confirmed by both Miller and the comics.

No, the opening credits state "Max Rockatansky" and the feral kid could never call himself that because Max never told him his last name.

I read somewhere that Miller said this movie is betwen RW and BTT, but there are signs in the movie that imply this movie is like 70 years after the apocalypse, which makes Max somewhat of a Methuselah :lol also missed when Miller said Max wasn't the feral kid, can someone share dem links please?

Still have to read the comics though :slap they've been siting on my desk for days now :lol

So he should be listed just as "Max".... but they went the extra mile and added the Rockantansky just to prove you wrong.

Maybe, but Max's "tattoo" says "no name" and Darth Vader was listed as Darth Vader in the credits, but he was really two people. It doesn't matter. If during the commentary of the film Miller says, "Oh by the way, that's really the feral kid" Or if they show that in a sequel, I'll be very happy that Hardy isn't playing Max and he's just a hero worshiping feral kid.

Original time line is. Mad Max. 3-5 years later is Road Warrior. And then 15 more years later is Thunderdome.

Man, Max got really glam in Thunderdome once he got his hair cut. Way too styled.

Don't forget the funky different colored eyes. But his hair fits with Billy Idol's do from the Dancing with Myself Video which itself copied the styles of Road Warrior. So MTV copied Max then Max copied MTV.

Wasn't explained as such in the film. It came off purely as a vision of his child speaking to him. :dunno

It sure is. He sees about a dozen different people when he's having the visions, especially in the tunnel at the start of the movie. When he does finally see his kid, it's a little boy down the road as Furiosa is pulling away on the motorcycle, who specifically calls him Papa. "Come on, Papa." Which is why he goes after them.
