IMO it's just a shame that there seriously wasn't anything that he did in the Mark 45 that you couldn't picture him doing in the Mark 3. He flew, he shot repulsor beams from his hands, and a unibeam from his chest, that's it... Compare that to the Mark 7 in the battle of NY where his suit showcased a new suit up pod, shoulders missiles, thigh missiles, improved propulsion, and just straight up bad***ness.

I want the 45 to go with my WM that's coming in, but other than them flying together, the suit was pretty forgettable.

Yeah...but it looks so cool! :thud:

It's got more screen time then half the armors out now. Nearly all the HPP suits got under ten seconds.

Not directed at you or anyone specific..I just find it funny how sometimes it doesn't matter what a character does on screen people ask for it, then if one is on but doesn't do some new trick it's not worth it, but then if it's on screen and has a funny line it's worth it(even though these things don't actually talk, so, who cares what he says ). You sometimes get the "I don't care what it is, give me anything people..then the enivitable minor difference which sudden means I won't order...

The amount of total contradiction from people is funny. Not saying one person contradicts themselves, but from person to person. Though sometimes it's the same person. And then nearly everyone wonders why the companies do what they do. Lol

This is why Apple does not do market research. It's sometimes the case that consumers, en masse, do not know what they want. I love the famous Henry Ford quote about it, which goes something like "If I had asked people what they wanted when I conceived of the automobile, they would have said a faster horse."

Sometimes companies have to trust they can put out a product that they believe in and hope consumers find it desirable.

I'm very new to this so my views, likes/dislikes, and perceptions on products is still in the developmental stages. I simply like armors that do something "memorable" on screen. Mark 3, taking out the terrorists. Mark 6, showing off his weapons when he took down Loki and the fight with Thor. Already explained Mark 7. I wouldn't even consider buying the HPP BECAUSE their screen time was literally seconds at most, didn't do anything memorable individually, and visually don't compare to his main worn armors imo.

I do see plenty of contradictions though, but I'm okay with whatever people want to complain about. Their opinions, not necessarily mine. The one that does have me shaking my head is in the Vision thread. People begged and begged for him, and when he was finally revealed he was picked apart like a bundle of grapes.

Even though the 45 was a letdown on screen imo, I still think it's an awesome looking armor. If anything, it might be a nice placeholder for the 46 if it turns out anything like the art.

Free, I don't think you are in the minority with your opinions. The logic makes sense. OT, but by chance are you active on AVS or HDN? I feel like I've run across your posts before in another forum...

Tbh, I have no idea what AVS or HDN stand for lol. The only other forum I used be active on was NikeTalk.

They used up all the budget at the Hulkbuster fight, as a result they can't afford RDJ to be on the set of the final fight to have an open face scene with 45.

Wait a min, maybe 45 was remote controlled??

Where did you hear this? Or do you just think that's what happened?

Because that actually sounds pretty plausible. I mean, I doubt they spent the whole budget, but they might've let robert leave production early because they didn't really need him.

Now that I think about it, the MK7 never opened it's faceplate either. only the one time that Thor ripped it off.

I recall RDJ's facebook saying he was done shooting his parts for the movie and it seemed like way before everybody else was done ha.

Looks good but maybe a little bit dark metallic color will fit better.

Yeah it seems like a bunch of fools just crawled out of the woodwork to spew bs in the last couple of pages. This suit had more than enough screen time. It did not look any faker than any other IM suit. In time once the figure is released maybe those people will put a lid on the silly crap.

You're new to this so it's still baffling how this works. But you'll get used to it.
You'll see the pattern. It happens with all the figures. It happens with most of the threads.

There's an overwhelming anticipation if, or when the figure will be made.
Then like Christmas, Santa hot toys will climb down the chimney and show everyone their present/s.
Some of the kiddos will get teary eyes and say "best gift ever"
Some will say "But I wanted an xbox". Playstation is a lot like it. But it's not an xbox.
So just like Xbox kids will talk about how its different from a playstation, people here will talk about how its different from real thing.
Some are valid concerns, some are nothing more than nitpicks...and you'll have some that think its perfect, and its the "best gift ever".

I hear you. I'm new to figures, but not new to the hobby of collecting. Ultimately, my money is my voice. If I buy it, then I like it enough to ignore whatever shortcomings I feel the figure may have, if any.

I'm excited to see this figure revealed. I will say that I'm not as much of a fan of this anatomical/organic direction they appear to be going in as opposed to the more industrial designs, but this does look great. The Ferrari of his Marks was a great way to describe it. I really just plan on having 2 armors; the 43 (which I would probably replace with the 7 if they ever decided revisit it) and whichever best represents his bleeding edge armor, which to this point would be the 45.

Looks like the red is in a wrong shade and I won't buy this one unless it's 100% screen accurate... not when it costs ~$350.

I tend to agree. I could settle for a little less than 100% because I think its unattainable but for the crazy prices we pay we deserve a good level of accuracy. So I could live with it. What I won't stand for though is glaring obvious inaccuracies made because of rushed production(mk43 wrist rocket) or cheap practises(stealth cap).....
