Yea, nice pick up man. It's sad cuz SSC just doesn't do IM like they used to...

this one might actually be one of the few IM that didn't have a ton of QC issues. I know some had thin castings, but it does have some heft and the paint is passable. I don't think these have gone up in value towards retail yet though? :(

Hey guys..

what would be the safest way to ship this piece ?

I remember many of the legs broke during shipment of these back in the day.

I forget how Sideshow shipped this to me...but I want to say it came on a pallet.

Would Fedex 2 day be safe ? The less time its on the truck...the better...I think :)

Yea, many a MKIII LSF were damaged throughout transit and most notably around the leg area aswell as the arm :( I'm guessing Sideshow originally sent it in their shipper no? :dunno inside the shipper was another cardboard type art box if I'm not mistaken...certainly try to reinforce the statue by adding something like bubblewrap or foam around the Styrofoam packaging maybe...

I've owned 3 of these MKIII LSFs, one I kept for myself and the other 2 I had picked up locally as there was no way I was gonna ship it :lol Hope you can get your piece to where it has to go safely bro :)

WTF man, you selling everything now or what? They started shipping these with the base inside as one whole package. I believe that was the main issue with breaks. I got mine in two boxes, the base was separate. No need for a pallet imo.

Thanks for the info Andy.
I do have the original packaging from Sideshow...just wasn't sure which carrier to use.
I'm leaning toward Fedex. I've never used DHL though...maybe that would be a good option...
I do worry about the arms or legs breaking while in transit!

No...not everything! But I do need to condense a bit. We're hoping to move into a bigger house later this year or early next..so this will help.
Once I have a house big enough to have my own museum room...the collectibles will be found again :)
Yea..I'm trying to stay away from pallet/freight shipping. So the new packaging is key...okay.

:lol I'm down to my last one Eric :( you can share my pic if you like ;) :lol Still one of the best Iron Man collectibles out there imo :)

No worries bro and I wish you well with whatever method of shipping you use. Maybe add a few extra layers of protection around the shipper to reinforce it from any possible knocks and bumps...something that could take you a matter of minutes to do may just make a difference :)

I kind of wish I would have gotten this piece. I remember when it was first announced and was blown away. :rock

prolly the best statue of the most iconic armor. I thought CM would end up doing a Mark 3, but they didn't, so the greatness of this one is still intact.

I did end up selling my Mark III...
but almost a month later a different one has replaced it.

Got a custom battle-damaged version with different base as well.
Lots of bullet holes, etc. This one was was customized by one of the
painters from Legacy Effects. I love the wear and tear and the unique
base is an added plus. Here are a few shots-

I forget the name of the guy at Legacy Effects who painted this? I think it's Jamie if I'm not mistaken as I was following him on Instagram for a while...I've seen some of his other battle damaged stuff and have to say it looks fantastic! Big congrats to you Fel Mar :clap I'm a very jealous guy right now :lol :lol

Thanks guys..It's amazing work to say the least :)

Roberto- Yea..that's him...Jaime Groove from Legacy.
Incredible talent! The bullet holes look crazy real!

Another thing I noted- The mark III I had before feels quite a bit lighter than this custom one!
I can definitely tell a difference in weight.
