the LEDs defn should not have burned out by now. I found that my LED issues came from the adapter. It would be impossible to replace a bulb for the eyes. May be possible to do with the chest, but I'd bet you would have to do some soldering work to do so.

Yeah it sounds like a bit of a nightmare. Oh well, the wait goes on for a MkIII then :(

This is why I dont keep my adapter plugged in, in fear of a burn out. Very rarely will I light this baby up and leave it on for no more than a few minutes. If somebody comes over and see's it for the first time is when Ill light it up and display it in all its glory.

Took a page out of Andy's book and gave my Mark III the LED treatment on the base. He really stands out now!

I've said it before but I'll say it again, Andy you sir are a tease.

Ive been watching a few of these video's and I noticed this guys 1:2 scale IM, the head goes in the opposite direction. Is this a recast? :lol

And whoever did this little video, did a great job just showing every little detail.

Ok, the wait is finally over for me. I've been after a 1:2 scale Iron Man for a while now & originally had the MK VII on order but cancelled once all the QC riddled in hand pictures started to show up. I'm a happy bunny now as I'm finally an owner of the MKIII.

The first thing that greeted me when I got home was this:

Feared the worst as it looks like a forklift puncture hole through both of the boxes, but luckily there is enough space between the box & styrofoam and thankfully Iron Man is undamaged. I haven't been this impressed with a Sideshow piece for a long time, once I lifted off the lid of the box & took off the foam padding it was like WOW, this is awesome.

Sorry about the crappy flash ridden pictures as it was pitch dark when I got home from work and unboxed him.

Awesome!!! I knew it Simon!!! Read my reply on my display thread...I first mentioned the MKVII and then said the MKIII :lol :lol one of my favourite Collectibles I own buddy...without doubt the definitive Iron Man collectible! Congrats Si :clap :clap

Thanks Andy :hi5:, this thing is so HUGE :horror & awesome. It set me back a lot of dosh but it was well worth it.

Congrats man! The Mark III definitely makes a statement and it sticks. One of my favorite pieces and I dont think Ill ever want to depart from it, like I did with the Mark VI maquette. There's just no comparison.
