Is anybody going to try a Marty custom from BTTF 2 like Marty from alt 1985 with just the t shirt, jeans and sneakers, from what I saw parted out on ebay looks like the suspenders can easily be removed along with the white shirt.

I don't know how he would look with just the red undershirt on the TT narrow body though. He might look scrawny and how would the neck look.:dunno

Hopefully one of the Toy Fair EX figs will be a BTTF fig, maybe Doc or another version of Marty, maybe 2015 version with the cap, power laces & Hoverboard.
It would be a real shame if HT just made this version of Marty and no other figs. :exactly:

Right now im looking forward to three unannounced figures. That I hope they get made. Doc, Batman Returns (I know it was shown at SDCC), deadpool movie figure. If this line gets canned because of marvel or star wars they should just make a doc and Ill be happy.

I'm so close to biting the bullet and getting this guy early from HK. Grail figure and these pics are killing me! :gah: :impatient:

Same here, but May is just around the corner in a couple of weeks and I have a feeling that's when SSC will get mine in stock. Right now I'm debating on AoU Captain America :gah:

Maybe another month or so for us Americans who purchased through Sideshow.

I know that sucks:gah:, I ordered one thru ssc and thru animarket (based in HK) and the're a bust, no email no update letter no nothing....so just my luck that one will take as long as ssc:mad:

I would have loved if Hot Toys sends there figures to the licensed retailers before launching, so tha everybody gets them at the same time or is it that the way they are doing it and the frieghters journey takes months?.

I think the only way you could get away with displaying a Hitler would be if you had a dedicated WWII shelf that had other important individuals of the time with it. Or if you're a Neo-Nazi. But it still wouldn't sit well with my display, personally.

I couldn't imagine trying to import that sucker into Germany though. That would be fun.

Only way I would probably justify it is if I had Captain America punching his lights out.

I'm not sure what to say about this figure. Yesterday when I opened him up I was disappointed - not with the figure, the figure is superb - but with my reaction to it. I felt I wasn't as excited about owning it as I should be, perhaps confirming my fears that BTTF isn't ''toyetic'' enough - I never desired toys from it as a child, so why would I now etc etc

Then I was able to show him to people, they recognised him straight away and were amazed by the clothes and that perked me up a bit. And today I have him displayed with the box as a backdrop (I would display a lot of figures like that actually if space were permitting) and it really pops, screams iconic and I'm looking at it right now thinking '**** yeah'. But will that last?....

So, yeah, not sure what to think.

Excellent figure though. If you're not worried about money and you never shared the BTTF 'not toyetic' enough view then buy it, buy it now.

Are you planning to get a delorean? That should make it much more exciting to own. I'm an 80s kid and there are probably 2 movie images that most remind me of that time 1) Vader flanked by stormtroopers and 2) Marty Mcfly and Doc mall parking lot with Delorean. I'm crossing all my fingers and toes that we get a doc.

I do have it ordered and paid an NRD on it. Now, I could still back out and accept the lost money, it was paid long enough ago to not really matter. But I have plenty of time to decide how I feel. If I decide not to get the Delorean I think I'll sell Marty.

The announcement and official reveal of Doc would help matters though. Really annoying that we're being kept in suspense about him where every conceivable character from Avengers is up for order or already available before the film is even in cinemas.

You feel exactly how I imagined I'd feel if I bought this figure a-dev. It's a great set of a long-desired character, but since I first saw it I've never felt that familiar compulsion to press the 'order' button. To me it's a figure that, more than most, needs a companion figure. With Doc alongside it I think you'll feel a lot more excited about Marty. As far as 'representing the license' goes, I think the Delorean can do that on its own; and Marty and Doc can do it together. All three would be brilliant. But just Marty on his own doesn't tickle the nerd boner for me.

Yeah I really hope the lag time with doc is due to hot toys working out the figure/other projects and not them riding the fence on the release altogether. Marty exclusive selling out faster than any figure in recent memory should indicate that there is a significant market for doc brown.
