I think terrible pictures are ones that are posted & blurry, you can't quite make out what your looking at properly..., that's my definition of a terrible pihotographer anyway. & I know what you mean regarding having a figure a while, not Iron Man but with a couple of my Star Wars clone figures I've found myself changing them after having them displayed for a while & at the time of getting them I honestly seem to think there's only one way I want them to look..., time changes my mind constantly though.

Lol my Star Wars collection rules are strictly lightsaber wielders, but I've always wanted to try and collect all the Clone Commanders. They seem very cool together. Just never really had the chance to do so. And there are so many of them!

I Really thought my Iron Man addiction was bad (as I have a few variants of the same armors) but the clones brought me to a whole new level.

And truth be told, I do prefer the Iron Man HT figures but there's something about these damn Clones that I just can't explain. There have been a few times where I was going through the regular dry spell where new clones weren't on the horizon, and just like a junkie, I'd need a fix. Sometimes buying outrageously overpriced rare ones off eBay or like I said before, just buying a duplicate to "strengthen" my brigades, lol

I agree about the Stormtroopers. If I was buying them I would want a good few. Same goes for the Ultron Drones, but thats just me lol

Funny thing about Stormtroopers is that they, obviously, remind me of the original Trilogy. Now before I get thrown out of the "geek brigade", I need to explain. Firstly, I'm old enough that I can remember going to see Empire in the theater and also standing in line for hours with a friend and his mom to see RotJ. Growing up, I was completely in love with SW always asking for an AT-AT or Millennium Falcon for every Christmas and birthday. When The Phantom Menace came out, I was in my twenties and believe it or not, loved the movie. Obviously, like most fans, I was definitely disappointed by Attack of the Clones but did respect and enjoy RotS. As a whole, I actually preferred Episodes 1-3 over 4-6 but my order of preference with all 6 films is pretty much unlike anyone else's (3,1,6,5,2,4). Mostly it really came down to the later films use of CGI and an overall better cast (minus Haden Christensen).

That is only half of my reasoning for dislike of Stormtroopers while favoring the clones. As a member of the geek brigade, I did not dismiss the Clone Wars computer animated series and fell in love with it half way through the 2nd season. Growing up, like so many others, I was always wondering what Leia meant when she pleaded for help to Kenobi while referencimg that he fought with her (adopted) father in "The Cone Wars". I honestly believe that Lucas' biggest mistake was just brushing over the clone wars in the second trilogy when so many fans were not just looking forward to at least one episode dedicated to it but fans basically expected it, I know that I did. So in retrospect, and I know I'm in the vast minority, Clone Wars was my favorite Star Wars. Since the entire series was basically the Jedi and clones fighting on the same side (well kinda right?) is where my love for the clones and not Stormtroopers comes from. I'm sure to buy a dual pack of Stormtroopers some day and I do have a HT Shadow Trooper on order already, but The clones will always have a special place in my heart. Although, after seeing the teaser for episode VII, the design of the new troopers seems interesting and I'm sure that they're going to milk the hell out of the new films.

Back on topic (sort of):

When I stated that I own multiple versions of the same IM armors, it's not as bad as I make it sound. Well I guess that depends, it could be worse than it sounds, lol. My examples are largely based on how similar a few of the designs were. For instance, I do have two versions of the Mk. VII but I also own the Midas and Python which are basically repaints of the Mk. VII (aside from the Heartbreaker legs on the Python). I also just bought the Avengers movie promo Mk. VI to supplement my IM 2 Mk. VI. My Mk. IV (which is very close to the Mk. II & III) should be arriving anyday thanks to BudgetStark! I've also got the diecast Mk. III on preorder as well as the Mk. III construction model. I own both Iron Patriot and War Machine Mk. II which are basically repaints as well. Finally, it looks to me like the AoU Mk. XLIII (which is also on preorder) is going to be mainly a repaint of the Mk. XLII with some improved articulation. Jeeze, when I write it all out like that, it really does sound bad, lol.

And I guess worst of all, I did get 2 Mk. XLII's with a Pepper Potts headsculpt to display on one of them. Yeah, it's bad, real bad.

My favourite of the 6 movies is ESB (episode IV), the baddies being my favourite gives it the edge. Pretrilogy I like The Phantom Menace best (episode I), Qui Gon was a good Jedi & Darth Maul was a better bad guy than his replacement (not that there's anything wrong wit Dooku, just preferred Maul)..., I've got more clones in my collection than Stormtroopers (100+ clones as apose to less than 50 Stormtroopers) but that's probably to do with there being so many different clones, compared to Stormies.

Do you have pictures of all your Iron Man figures? It sounds like a good visual & an interesting selection of variations..., I've only got the mark II out of the first 7 but ideally I'd like to have all of the main suits if they make them again (like they are with the mark III).

Yep, good photo andarbajO, I wasn't sure about the helmet design on this one at first but it's grown on me & is definitely one of the best to date..., can't say it's the best though as they haven't all been made yet.

So I finally broke down and ordered this guy right before the coupon expired on 3/31. Cant beat $199.99 then $27.50 in rewards! Like paying $172.50. It was being delivered today but I missed it. UPS never comes till between 2pm and 4pm and today they decided to arrive at 9:47am!!! And since it's Friday and no Saturday delivery I now have to wait till Monday...

Been there and done that with UPS; I opened an account with them and now I have them hold the package at the local facility for me to pick up. Works out MUCH better than waiting for delivery.

Got this armor while it was on sale as well. Also do the local pick-up for the HT stuff so I don't have to worry about weather or theft.

Dammit, I should not have entered this thread.

Been thinking of buying another Iron Man, want one with the classic red/gold aesthetic. Mostly I'd been considering preordering the Diecast Mk III or saving a little extra cash and going after a Mk IV.

However I've been seeing some absolutely killer deals on this, as low as £110 in some places. Talk me out of buying one, for god's sakes. Tell me it's rubbish because it doesn't have air flaps or something.
