Hot Toys MMS243 - 1/6th scale Captain America & Steve Rogers

My only gripe, while I don't like to do crazy exaggerated poses for these, the Cap figure can barely move much.

I'm not a veteran HT collector and have never customized any of mine (I like to try to keep mine stock if possible), but is this "fat suit" people mention easy to remove to give the figure some extra area to breathe in movement, or is it not worth the trouble? I'm always terrified to remove clothing and treat these things as if they were glass.

ALSO, What kind of light would you recommend using over displaying these? The material on the plastic under a soft white light make the skin appear darker than it should and they can look like they have a really bad tan. I would like to know how you guys do your display lighting to bring out the skin color more than darken and drown the look of their faces.

With mine I was actually able to get the vest off so getting at the fat suit was easier than some guides. All I did from there was cut some of the fatsuit from under the pits allowing his arms to drop a bit more. Also, the stomach section of the fatsuit was double layered so I removed the top layer which goes from his waist to chest. I did stick some thick double sided duct tape stuff onto the chest of the fatsuit as cotton balls were moving too much. With the tape I left the wax paper type film on the one side so it doesn't stick to both sides. Sorry that's probably a bit confusing and I was too foolish to take pictures of the process.
It's really obvious but be careful with any mods and take it easy with the suit. Getting the vest off is pretty tight and sketchy so trying to just fold up the suit to access the fatsuit may be best. I was undressing and changing my mods so much to the point where the zipper broke off the vest. I've sewn the zip right up to close it and it's pretty well hidden so I can sleep easy, but learn from me.

I'd leave it alone. If you have the Steve Rogers HS though, I recommend not displaying it with the Stealth Suit.

I've taken both shields on and off numerous times without a problem. It helps to unbuckle the smaller buckle first.

Despite its issues, I think this set was a good release after all. Can't wait for the AoU version!

That's how the suit should look imo. Looks too light otherwise.

Try some rubbing alcohol on the affected area.
If it doesn't work, just leave it.

I'm not good at modifying, I would only end up ruining the figure, I will leave my Cap standard.

Thanks guys! I have a feeling the AoU Cap will look better in the shelf, but I like this one for now. Thor is a great figure too. I think he's got double rewards going right now.

In fact all 3 in full heist get up would be awesome. Maybe ThreeZero will do the "Unholy Trinity" someday

All 3 of mine had full beards. There's a company that's doing Michael's head just like Kai did Trevor.
