It was silly to let him slip by at retail if you really wanted him.

Is the evil version different enough from the regular version to warrant purchase? How much was the evil version when he first came out? Ebay prices look to be around $250 atm.

Also, has anyone here picked up Tony Mei's custom Reeve Superman costume? I've been wanting to get one, but the price is pretty expensive and I wasn't sure if the difference would be drastic enough to be worth the purchase.

This figure was my first a couple of months ago, really is a fantastic figure indeed. Think I might have a go at a light up base after seeing the one posted above. Here's mine at home in the Detolf

Well I'm late to this party! Just got my Supes and he looks awesome. Only one question, is there some trick to getting the head attached to the neck or am I just not pushing hard enough?

Balcony surprise experience:

From my 14th floor balcony,...My kids noticed Superman taking off from the park below. Suddenly, Superman began flying over our balcony,.. then he decided to land "Smack" right on our balcony. He looked Awesome!!! Thanks Hot Toys.

Got a few new figures to compliment my CR Superman and MOS figure I just picked up Evil CR Superman on eBay. Had to pay above retail of course, but he's well worth the price jump. Awesome figure!! I also managed to pick up Jor El, Zod and MOS all for $300 on ebay The extra MOS figure isn't pictured, but I'm currently customizing him into the black version. Will post pics when he's done (won't be for a while though, really busy with work atm...)

^Thanks a lot, man! I can't take full credit for that great deal. My brother actually got them for my birthday. Not sure if he just got lucky, but I think no one else realized the auction was for all three figures (the auction picture only had the MOS figure shown). He was the only one to bid and got all of them for just $105 per figure (shipping was $15). Either way, I'm really happy to have Jor El and Zod in the collection. They are really detailed and well made figures!!

Is the head supposed to snap into the neck securely or just kind of rest in there.

For example, if I pick him up by the head should the body stay attached or drop off?

The body should stay attached. It shouldn't be loose like that. The ball peg probably isn't all the way in on yours.

There is a good chance the connector is cracked too.
