I definitely might be in the minority, but I really like the flesh tone one. It might be how she looks great with the Harley EX, and probably will look good with Catwoman goggles up displayed.

I think it's cause the green stands out more and with perfect lighting she looks glow-y

I agree with you 100%. I have the 1st Ivy EX and I love the way her flesh tone looks. I love the contrast. in colors. I have Catwoman displayed with IVY and they look great together. Harley is also a great looking PF. As you said, those 3 pieces really look good displayed together.

Our opinion doesn't take anything away from the Green Ivy. She turned out great and the paint apps are a definite improvement over the original. However, I was lucky enough to get my original EX with some good paint apps and I like the way she fits in my collection. So, long as everyone is happy with the Ivy they have, it's all good in the end.

I wouldn't kick either one of them out of bed for eating crackers...

Seriously though, I received my green Ivy last Fri, my second statue ever(just started collecting in Jan) and absolutely stunning. If I'd started back when the Exclusive Ivy came out I would have bought her too.

This is the only time in my admittedly short experience where a standard version differs enough from the Exclusive where I would own them both.

YMMV,
Nels

Yeah, they both look good. It just boils down to which one each individual collector prefers. There is no denying that SSC did a far better job with the paint apps on the Green Ivy though. That said, my EX Ivy looks very good and I'm happy with her.

I had pretty good paint on my original one too. Loved that statue. I just couldn't keep both, and green skinned is how I think of her. I was worried she would not turn out as well as she did. I am happy the gamble paid off. Now to finish waiting for the last payment to process...

Good evening fellow statue collectors, just thought I would share my Sideshow Poison Ivy Green With Envy Premium Format Figure. Personally me and my partner are very happy in the way she turned out, we are very new to collecting the Premium Format range with Wonder Woman being our first and we received this yesterday. Next week we shall receive Catwoman so as you can already tell we are sticking to the DC side of things. Anyways hope you all like the photo's.

Fantastic pics. Love your studio setup that allows for some great pics. Especially your WW looked amazing. I'd love to see your setup with backdrop and everything.

Some of these pics are a bit underexposed, however. But rich on detail, still.

Thank's for the comments I appreciate it & next time around I will make sure not to underexpose my photo's. To be honest this is only my second attempt at doing any type of studio photography so I still have a lot to learn with setup and etc, only way to learn I guess is by trial and error so hopefully the next round of photo's I take are better then the previous set. I'm planning on going though my collection and taking studio photo's of everything but that's mainly Hot Toys as I am only new to the PF collecting at the moment.

Setup wise I'm running a Nikon D800 with a few different prime lens, a new studio setup which I just purchases second hand a few weeks ago which consists 2x Bowens Gemini 400GM, Savage Black Paper & a support stand for the paper.

Thanks for the info. :) I shoot all my pics in RAW, and in PS I can then adjust the exposure level to compensate for any over- or underexposure. I use CameraRAW-something in PS.

I've been pondering about getting background setup. I use two simple and cheap umbreally lights at 5500 Kelvin for lighting. It works really well, but would be nice with a clean background for those really good product shots.

No problem at all, yes I shoot raw to & I should have played with the exposure in Lightroom a little more prior to posting them. Well worth investing into a camera background setup for that product type shots, you don't really need to go to expensive on it. At the moment I only have roll of black paper but would like to get a white one a month or two down the line.

I was looking at doing something like that, cheap setup but in the end I found someone selling a setup quite cheap to be honest that was only two years old and just thought id spend the extra and try to teach my self how to use over the course of the year.

Did your plants fit ok like that? Most all the others have them in the other way. I tired doing mine like yours when I first got her, but they did not fit as well as the other way.

Wow, Matt, best pics so far!

You're going to turn this into a photo competition...

Very cool. :) Your WW shots were very impressive. Loved the use of vignette too.

Thank you, just on work computer at the moment and yes the photo's are quite underexposed must be my home computers screen. Will have to have a play with it and get it adjusted. Might go back at in the next day or two and adjust the exposure on this set & edit my previous post so the photo's look better

To be honest I didn't realise that they where different to the Sideshow photo's on there website as I didn't actually put her together as it's my partners figure and well she was very excited to receive her. When she put it together it didn't seem difficult to get them in that way, to be honest I think they just went in with ease that way.

Thank you for the comments, if I inspire people to take some great snaps well it only benefits forum :)

Amazing pics! I'm still blown away by how great she turned out.

So are we, I was very happy the way she turned out and to be honest she turned out better than I was expecting.
