That looks awesome! I'm glad you like it!

Why does everyone pose him with the hat for this scene? I'm not a GoNY buff, but doesn't he just wear those hats after the big fight like 10 years later?

Yep he does where this hat at the beginning. Just like it is in the dio he walks out for the first time like this. Later on he wears different top hats:)

Hahaha I'm blind. He's even wearing it in the reference pictures I've been using. I might be an idiot. :lol

Re: Woodworking- Ted Living Room/Jurassic Park Dodge--Last Page

Instead of watching paint dry (literally) I decided to start another commission. I think my scale is a bit off so I have to do more calculations on my 1:1 Tele. I made the 1:1 myself as well. This one is still rough, folks. Early stages here.
This wont won't have a pickguard or this type of bridge. It'll be more like a Schecter PT.
If anyone is interested in one, I can make a few more. Whatever shape you want too.

Still in the early stages of it. The door trims haven't been glued or measured for spacing. I just put them there to see what it would look like. I have the angled roof made and I'll be working on the stepped roof this evening.

Re: Woodworking- 1/6 TARDIS- WIP

Are you a fan? I've had a couple guys ask me to do a small run because the BCS one is polystone and expensive. I don't know if I'll do more than one. It's not overly hard, but it's time consuming with all the cutting and beveling edges, etc. I guess we shall see.

This one is for me and it is going to be a bit battle damaged. I have excellent War and 9th Doctor sculpts from a guy on here and that's why I'm building it.

Re: Woodworking- 1/6 TARDIS- WIP

I'm not a fan (yet) but my GF is an LOVES the Tardis. she has a whole collection of them. I'm excited to just see it finished. it's 1/6 scale right?

Re: Woodworking- 1/6 TARDIS- WIP

It's a nice project. I built mine a couple of years back. I then developed all the parts in CAD to put a small batch into production using CAM.
I've yet to complete my small details and the lamp. I have only just got access to a decent 3D printer, and intend to do the lamp, door and phone handles , as well as the key hole over the Christmas holiday.
If your like, I can print off two sets if it'll help you.

Watching it might open up a whole new can of worms of customs and collecting. Tread lightly. Yep! It's 1/6th. I took the 1:1 specs and scaled them down. Some parts won't be true 1/6th, but I'm not going to take an extra hour for a few millimeters or whatever. :lol

Definitely interested! I saw some metal ones on Shapeways, but I'm going to send you a PM. :)

Re: Woodworking- 1/6 TARDIS- WIP

Big TARDIS update. I still need to add some details and rework the roof. The angle I took the picture is weird, but the pitch of it doesn't look spot on when looking at it at eye level.

Re: Woodworking- 1/6 TARDIS- UPDATE

That's looking great man!

I saw one that was a bit bigger than Half-size in a Half Priced Books today that was a book shelf

Thanks! I'll get better pictures once I have all the trim on and everything. It's still bare bones, believe it or not. I kind of want to turn my bookshelves into mini TARDISes.

Re: Woodworking- 1/6 TARDIS- UPDATE

Arkansas finally hit 60°, so I got to prime the TARDIS and paint a Ted diorama that I haven't gotten to work on in months... I'm using this unusually warm weather to paint all I can.

I also started a Walking Dead/Last of Us diorama that I might do a run of if anyone is interested.

Re: Woodworking- 1/6 TARDIS-Walking Dead/LoU Diorama

Would anyone be interested in a "handmade" looking weapon?
