I filed the paperwork back in March, but I hear that they're getting better and quicker with the processing. Here it is mounted on my Scar 17.

Nice!!! I'm one of the few people that prefer the M&P over Glock. Are you planning on getting the newly released Compact .22lr??

Yes sir! The Glocks don't feel comfortable in my hands (G18, G19, G22, G23). It takes a little more effort for me to get it where I want it to go, whereas the S&W's I can point naturally without fighting the grip. I've tried them with different sized backstraps too.

M&P9 and .40 S&W for me. :rock

Got the Sig P227, Wesson Pointman 9, HK USP Expert 9, and the HK VP9:

Also a EAA Witness Elite Gold Team:

Picked up these two new Sigs. I'm not into blingy guns, but with that new law prohibiting German Sigs from being imported and the loss of SSE, beggars can't be choosers.

Loving it! :hi5:
The P226 is one of my absolute favorite platforms.

You probably live in the same state as I do. :(

Building me an AR-15 Pistol. Got a lower from Palmetto State Armory for $130 shipped. Just need to get me an upper once they come back in stock. Going for the 10.5" Slim Quad Rail .300 AAC Blackout.
PSA 10.5" CHF 300 AAC 1:8 SQR 7" - With BCG and Charging Handle - Barreled Upper Assemblies - AR-15

Very nice.

I was debating whether or not I should build one as well a few months ago. However, it would have been a 5.56, 7.5" barrel from PWS. Loud as f00k and muzzle flash up the wazoo, but it's more of a novelty. I wouldn't be using it for anything serious.

But I like the direction you're going. With the 10.5" and .300 blackout, you could have a much quieter rifle that you can file papers to SBR it down the line.

Looking forward to the final build.

Anybody familiar with old British Enfield rifles or have a good site that I can reference them? Bought one today at the bazaar on base, and trying to figure out what model it is.

Got a pile of Bass Pro Shop GCs for Christmas from the wife, parents, in-laws, etc. Been trying to decide whether to get a lever action 30-30 rifle (Henry, Winchester or Marlin), a Uberti 1858 Army .44 Revolver, a Walther PPK/s carry pistol, or a Barnett Penetrator Crossbow.

After wandering around the Bass Pro for a while ... I think I've decided to go with the Marlin 336 30-30. The Henrys were gorgeous weapons -- brass finish, octagon barrel, etc. -- but, honestly, looked more like display weapons than use weapons. Also, they load a little weird (from the end of the magazine tube rather than side-loading) and they're almost twice the price for the same caliber. The Marlin seems like the best functional lever-rifle for the buck.

Any good accessory recommendations for a lever-rifle? Sights? Scopes? Slings?

Guess I'll wait 'til next gift season for the crossbow, PPK or 1858 Army.

Also, been wanting a Colt Python .357. Didn't realize until a couple of weeks ago that they're out of production. Anybody know of a comparable quality .357 mag?

SnakeDoc

Comparable quality .357 mag with a Colt Python? No. I think the closest you'll come is a Performance Center S&W.
My dad has a Colt .38 special and it's got the sweetest trigger even in DA.
As far as your 3 choices remember one thing. Crossbows, especially compounds, require maintenance. If you want to treat yourself to an expensive crossbow I'd go with a really nice recurve, like an Excalibur. Crossbow strings require changing and unless you have a bow press you can't do it yourself on a compound.
Although if you insist on a compound the Penetrator is quite nice. I own one myself.

My two latest purchases. They are like brothers from different mothers:

It's sad to see that S&W Performance Center just doesn't make guns like this any more. They could have been giving Sig Mastershop a run for their money right now.

Sig could learn to offer better presentation and packaging of their Mastershop guns.

Can you provide some information about the Smith and Wesson? That's a beautiful firearm. I've been pondering getting one of their Performance Center 1911s, but something else always pops up before I can get around to it.
