Damn... The more I see of Python the more I wish I hadn't passed on it... At first it looked like a cheap movie knockoff of Iron Man's current armor (at the time) in the comics. Now I kinda want it. No way i'm paying aftermarket prices for it though.

I didn't look at it properly myself, I initially thought it was just Midas/mark VII repainted again, I still pondered though & in the end I decided I would get it but it'd sold out by then..., I also noticed later that there were differences with the Python suit. Lesson learned though, I don't ponder now & thus have Peacemaker & will have Hot Rod next month (& very happy about it I am too). :)

I also have Hot Rod on the way, and i'm really pumped to get it... Had it gone up for PO at the same time as python there would have been no delay in ordering it. I've wanted one from the second I seen the full design of it. Like you said, Python just seemed like some random repainted armor to me and I wasn't interested until recently. I still have very little interest in Midas though. I'm still hoping for the Disco armor.

I wanted Hot Rod as soon as I saw it too, the wait has been a long time coming but I'm glad we're finally getting it & Disco is actually my top want armour wise, it has a great colour combination..., I'm hoping they'll make it next year (well announce it anyway), we should get Blue Steel next year as one of the exclusives I think & maybe Tank too as it's basically Heartbreaker, I prefer the colour scheme of both of those so they'll be definite buys..., what else do you like suit wise?

That's a tough question because I'd like to have ALL of them if I could afford it haha...

Mark 10 - I donno why, I just really like this design. I doubt we'll see any between 8-14, but this would probably be the only one I would buy if they did.
Mark 15 "Sneaky" looks awesome, would buy.
Mark 16 "Nightclub" is also an instant buy (I don't know if it's true or not, but this armor supposedly changes color from Red/Gold to Black in "stealth" mode... It was red/gold in the movie, but I haven't seen any more of that theory)
Mark 18 "Casanova" would be a game time decision for me, I like the black/gold color scheme, but it's basically a darker Heartbreaker with a normal style IM helmet. I'd probably pass on it if there were too much to get at the time.
Mark 19 "Tiger" I would buy in an instant because the Red/Silver color scheme is my favorite, I missed out on Mark 5, but i'm still hoping for a die-cast version at some point. Silver Centurion is my favorite comic armor, I like the SC figure, but there is WAY too much red for me to fully appreciate it.
Mark 23 "Shades" is another instant buy, I like the camo paint-job and the armor is just generally bad-ass looking.
Mark 24 "Tank" would have to come out around a time where there isn't too much coming out, I like the colors but it's not priority for me since it's just a recolored HB
Mark 26 "Gamma" I'd much rather have this than Striker. Not enough green armors.
Mark 27 "Disco" I know I already said i'd get this, but the reason is because the color combo of Blue/Orange is my 2nd favorite color combo behind Red/Silver. I had a bright orange Chevy Cavalier with blue accents when I was younger and this Armor reminds me of it so much. I actually own a orange dodge nitro now.
Mark 28 "Jack" ... Orange is generally my favorite color overall, so this is a no brainer for me. Though I do think this one should have been called "Tiger" over mark 19.
Mark 30 "Blue Steel" will be an instant buy as well.
Mark 31 "Piston" is nice looking. I like the colors, but it's kinda plain for me to put it high on the priority list. I would have to see the figure before making the decison
Mark 37 "Hammerhead" would also be an instant buy
Mark 40 "Shotgun" I like the look of this armor, but I'd rather have Shades... I will buy the construction version of Shotgun as seen in proto shots if they ever really make it

At the moment, my priority for HT figures is AoU and Guardians (Still waiting on Drax, Thanos is an instant order) figures, Also Ant-Man figures when/if they get made. While I love Iron Man, I highly doubt i'll be able to get all of the ones I listed, even if they do make them all because I plan to get EVERY AoU figure they release. (except both versions of thor if they make both, this time i'll only get the sleeveless as I got the armored one from TDW)

I'd like them all too, if they get made..., I'm curious to know why you think we'll not get any of the suits from 8-14? Your not the first person to say this & I'm interested to know why it's thought they won't get made? My current priority Hot Toys wise is to pay off Igor, newly anticipated preorders will be Hulkbuster for me & maybe Hawkeye (possibly Ultron too), already preordered the mark 43..., diecast is a no brainier purchase for me, just appeals a lot really. :)

I was very pleasantly surprised by Midas. It's even better in person where you can see the subtle variations in color on the suit through uses of various shades of gold, bronze, and silver. It helps to break up the otherwise predominantly red collection, alongside Python, Secret Project, and 42. Python, though, has become one of my favorite suits. I hope you guys can pick one up eventually because it's utterly stunning in person.

I'm guessing we'll get one repaint/retool each for every suit. VII to Midas, IP to Hot Rod, Red Snapper to Peacemaker, etc. Blue Steel is most likely a given. I really want the Nightclub and Shotgun suits. And I don't really like retreading older figures but an updated Mk IV and VI would be insta purchases for me, even though I have multiples. Not diecast, just plastic... with parts that won't turn pink.

I'm not sure if they will make them or not, I just don't see it happening because not only do they not have nick-names, but they have gotten very little exposure promotionally and seemed to fall to the wayside in terms of marketable armors. They pushed a lot of the armors to promo the movie before these figures were even announced, but these were never mentioned until after the movie came out and there were online databases made of the armors. Does HT plan to make every one? I read somewhere that it was the original plan to make all of them, but I have no idea if thats true.

It was in an interview with Howard, that they'll make every one if they can. They'll probably end up releasing every suit that's unique, has a name, and some exposure in the film or marketing, but not every single one. I'm pretty hardcore as far as HT IM is concerned and even I'm starting to feel worn out.

To be honest I'm not sure if I'd want newer versions of the earlier suits if I'd not come late to the game, because it's been suggested that they may make all of the mark I-VII figures again in the diecast format I've held off of buying those suits (well I already had the mark II) until we know for sure..., I was recently tempted to buy a mark IV, V & War Machine 1.0 all for very good prices but the desire to have them in diecast stopped me, hopefully that wasn't a mistake as I doubt they'll turn up that cheap often but I guess time will tell (if they don't announce another next year then I'll probably just buy the plastic suits as & when I think the price is right).

Midas is a nice figure, I didn't hesitate getting that one, the only thing that bugs me with that one is the use of rubber in the forearm area..., it'll probably perish over time so that concerns me some what, apart from that it's a great figure. :)

I didn't realise those suits didn't have nicknames, interesting but then I suppose as the first 7 don't have names either, it's fair enough..., good to know though (thanks). I'd prefer it if they made all of the suits personally as I'd hate to have gaps that I have no way of rectifying..., I'm sure I'll be happy with what ever I can afford to get though (which may not be all of them anyway).

I'd like to see them make all of them... But at the same time I hope they don't, because then I will be exponentially compelled to get all of them at some point. If they leave some out, I won't feel like the collection is incomplete because it could never be completed. Damn my OCD :dunno

Perhaps we could assign names to 1-14 :lol

I believe this was just speculation based on HT showing the logos for each of the Iron Man films alongside the diecast announcement. At this point I think a further investment in the diecast line is unlikely, but we'll see. Diecast adds a false sense of exclusivity when in reality the figures are more or less the same visually. Just heavier and more expensive. I own all of them and like them just fine, but I'm pro plastic in terms of value for money. If you find good deals on the original figures, go for it. I still like all of them just fine alongside the newer releases. Especially something like the Mk 1 2.0 which is a work of art.

Mk 1: Iron Giant
Mk 2: Rivet
Mk 3: Tank Shell
Mk 4: Donut
Mk 5: Skinny
Mk 6: Coconut
Mk 7: Escape Pod
Mk 8: Filler
Mk 9: Filler Lite
Mk 10: Boot Test
Mk 11: Helmet Test
Mk 12: Gunmetal Filler
Mk 13: Silver Filler
Mk 14: Gray Filler

Yeah I gave up near the end as they're kind of boring compared to the other suits.

I know the feeling, my OCD works a little differently in that it'll drive me nuts that they didn't make them all..., I can see your logic though. :)

I think I'll definitely get the mark I 2.0 suit at some point & I'm thinking the mark V & War Machine 1.0 too, if a bargain comes along with the other suits then I may be tempted but we shall see. :)

& nicely done with the names, how long did it take you to think of them all??? :)

They may do some of the armors in diecast, I'd be surprised if they didn't, but it's going to be ten years before the first 7 are done if at all. If you like the earlier armors then get them. Until hot toys puts any figure up for preorder (let alone shows a proto or teaser) it's pure speculation what will or won't be made. And by the time they got around to it they could have lost the licensing for one or two of the films. If you are waiting for a potential diecast you very well could wait yourself out of any figure.

Thanks for that, I'll keep an eye on eBay then..., & wait for the right price(s) to come along. :)

To be honest, I think the Mark 1 2.0 is by far one of the best armors they have done so I wouldn't feel compelled to get a new one just because it's in die-cast. I love die-cast, but when you're already spending $250+ on figures alone, adding die-cast to drive up the price isn't really worth it imo. To me, I can't really tell the difference between a figure that is die-cast and one that isn't unless I'm holding it. Since these are figures that sit in my display case and only get re-posed once in awhile, I'll pass on spending the extra money. Leave die-cast to figures like Transformers where at least they would get handled more.
