As has been said before, I want them to go back and do another WW2 game on the new systems. I've hated the past two COD games and unless this one is groundbreaking, I'll wait to get it for cheap.
Are there dedicated servers for this yet? The MP has been unplayable for me with Ghosts and BLOPS2.

Ghost really hurt this franchise. Its much less popular in general than it use to be. The old cod threads were busy here, but Ghost changed all that lol. AW is a lot more fun and better made than people probably think. The damage by Ghost has been done though.

No dedicated servers yet and thats my one real complaint about AW. Still the same iffy laggy game its been for years. Not sure why the lag was so muvh less an issue with MW1 and 2, but still a big problem today, but it can really hurt the fun of any shooterl

I stopped playing Ghosts for the longest but picked it up a month or so ago and loved the last map pack...thought they were great. This one I prefer to play classic mode with no suit jumping stuff...although the maps are a little too big without the gigantic jumps.

It's one of the biggest AAA franchises and they won't shell out for dedicated servers.

Well I played quite a bit of it last night and I have to say its very good. I didnt play ghosts and have always wanted cod to stop being lazy and do something different and they have. Firstly it looks and sounds great! Playing on xb1, the graphics are sharp and vibrant and it really does sound like a war in the future. The double jump and exo suit works great and although instantly feels comfortable, it also feels like there is a learning curve there especially with the side dash which I cant quite get to grips with. Iv come across a few campers but the exo suit does minimise this as your able to flush them out quite quickly . The spawning doesnt seem to bad either and I disagree with ign in that iv had plenty of time to use the shoulder button perk for shielding and cloak...
So, it is the best cod in a long time. I do hope they do a world war version and take it in turns in doing that and pushing this modern warfare forward. I feel it would keep the franchise healthy having a 2 year slot for 2 very differently timed shooters but I doubt that will happen.
Anyway thats my mini review on it so far. the COD haters are going to want to hate but if you actually take time to play it, you might just enjoy it.

I HATED MP the last few games. The lag comp was the worst thing ever. I would enter my clip into a person and when I watched the kill cam, I never got a shot off and they killed me with one shot. Thats why I hate this series lately. Until that's fixed, I won't give in.

Thanks! Well it sounds a little promising now. I have a 4 day weekend coming up so I may just have to get it Friday on my way home. I'll probably pick up the ONE version as I currently only have 3 games for it compared to over a dozen for the PS4.
My issue with Ghost was the original maps were awful and not fit for a Team Deathmatch or Kill Confirmed. They allowed for too much camping and it really took the joy out of them. The season pass maps really fixed that game for me though. As far as this game its quite a bit of fun so far. I think the original maps are all quite good with little issues that I saw in Ghosts. I also think the weapons out of the gate are pretty balanced with several options based on your playing style.
As far as another WW2 game I'd love that.

Me too! I dont' feel tha Ghosts is that bad, but it is just merely another cash grab. I bought it, played it through, spent some bit of time online, and then forgot about it. Unfortunately for me MW1 and World at War are the best in the series, and outside of the first Black Ops the rest just seem to fade away. If they can pull off another WW2 game with some new gameplay mechanics I'd welcome it, but I fear that WW2 has been played out 110%. I'm still hoping that we get another Brothers in Arms game.
It's a new engine, so it's a bit different. Make sure in the video options to enable it to compile shaders during cutscenes, otherwise it will load what it can and then wait until the cutscene is over to compile shaders and finish.
Also, if you have low-resolution texture issues, turn off the options to cache shadows.

Do you know the option on the top of your head? I can check. The game feels heavy. It's taking my PC for a spin.

I'd like if they made the characters more likeable...... and I'm not sure why they give you squad mates if they are of no benefit, actually the only thing they do is get in your way and scream at you in military jargon...
