That's what you want. I sold my customized Snake Eyes V1 for a lot more than a boxed untouched one goes for, just saying.

I guess that as long as there is a buyer, you are right. Once again, not bashing the trend, just saying that the figure becomes a custom, and will only appeal to those who want a custom piece. Still, it's no longer the real deal. But that's the beauty of this niche, there's something for everyone's tastes!:)

Thanks, Gipetto! I use the term "mod" loosely for the eyes though. :lol Repainting eyes on figures isn't a big deal but what Tony did with his sculpt is definitely a mod. And a cool one at that.
most def brother :hi5: again, I'm not against mods..I do them :) only reason I did the mod was b/c the plug just pulled out when I was switching heads :lol
Just got Batman - beast of a figure. Completely awesome in hand. Proportions, color, etc look a lot better. Really like this figure.

Yea he didn't look too proportionate in initial pics but I love the way he looks. I'm quite impressed.
No. They could be selling them for a myriad of reasons, personal, financial, etc. I just find it interesting that guys mod them, rant and rave how the figure may have absolutely needed the mod, spend all that time and effort on the figure, then turn right around and sell it weeks after they finish it.

Just a head scratcher, is all.

quick question. the elbows and hips on mine are what i would call mildly loose. he can still hold a pose, but i doubt i could have him standing on one leg. his elbows are strong enough to resist the fabric, but still swing fairly eaisly. did i get a dud, or is this more or less the way that all of them are?

i think 1 or 2 folks have mentioned loose elbows. Mine seems to be fairly stiff though.

Agreed!

I received mine today, the box is gouged open, left shoulder busted, floppy waist and legs that don't hold a pose. The box looks like ups kicked a field goal with it. When I called Sideshow, the girl in customer service actually got short with me because I asked how the return process works. I live in Michigan, so another two weeks, at least before I get my replacement. Unbelievable. If it wasn't for us Collectors, there would be no Sideshow.... I have seen the reviews and my figure was nothing like them. I will enjoy everyone's pictures and reviews until my replacement comes.

Anybody got a pic of the body without the suit on by chance? Curious what it looks like for customs....

Good thing I was watching Da Bomb Show's review again, so I took screenshots of the body for you. I said it before and I'll say it again: I wish SSC would make the bodies available for purchase ala TTM.

I agree, though you do get a weird looking elbow when you bend the arms on the double jointed muscular bodies.

It all depends on the quality of the joint. The Arnold and Roadblock elbows are more flexible but not as flexible as say a thinner figure like Harlock. Judging by the rest of the joints on his body Sideshow should have tried to tackle double-jointed elbows; they probably would have worked out fine.

The double jointed elbows might not not have worked on this particular body, the biceps are too massive. Plus I think you would see the folding gap through the tight suit.

I ported mine over on to a Roadblock HT and the double jointed elbows not only work fine but look a treat as well,
SS good have included the Double joint and not lost any aesthetics, IMHO
The suit does not bunch the elbows don't look weird and you can get him into some slick positions.

Pics, please. I like the SS body just fine but I'm debating trying something else for any Tony Meis custom suits I buy.

The problem is the thickness and roundness of the biceps on the SS body. If you compare the SS body and RB body, the biceps of the RB is a lot more narrow and not as bulky. As it is,, I had my v1 Snake Eyes on the HT Colton body, and the elbows had a funky roundness to them when you bend them. It just didnt look natural, well, at least to me anyways.
