:lol I know a 31 year old man that lives in his parents basement and has a huge 1/6 collection. HT, Enterbay, Ones Customs ,stuff you name it. The bad thing is he makes about $25 an hour. So, yeah. :lol

So he has to work like 10-12 hours per doll. That's nearly two work days per doll. So he can max out at 3 dolls a week. If the guy gets more than 12 dolls in a month, he's max'd out his earnings.

Perhaps that's why he lives under his parents.

He smokes a lot of weed too. I suspect he sells as well.

He, and I swear, even write his name on the OJ and Milk. Can you imagine? :lol

Oh, he a loser in every sense of the word. :lol

Sounds like it could be you? I kid, I kid. There is nothing wrong with weed if you live in california and have a injury from work? And maybe have the insurance pay for your figs? No family to worry about, but also the rich stay rich by being poor(and not by buying high end cars etc.), so your friend may live with his parents but is getting what he wants. In Japan more and more 20 yr olds are staying with their parents, and after the recession a lot of people I know had to move back with their parents because of college loans etc. We are all nerds, why should we judge others?

Uh, nah. :lol A 30 something year old man that has a decent job but stays in his parents basement because he wants to buy dolls and smoke weed is a loser. :lol And then to have the audacity to write your name on food products talking about " this is MINE." :lol

I guess I'll take your word for I don't know the guy. But not all "stoners" are losers, look at snoop dog and Doug Benson, Workaholics, many make a good living off of pot culture.

Also trailer park boys XD

EDIT: the guy should actually pay for the food bills, water, and electricity. I mean if he isn't paying for rent. Also "collecting dolls?" what are the rest of us doing now? Maybe I should be spending my money on better things :/ like boats and hoes or something :dunno

I think you're completely missing the point. :lol

Good I thought you were Doll bashing XD, BTW maybe we need more pics of Han, any new pics from that recent show in China? I need to keep my mind off Ebola :monkey4

I do marvel at some of the "kids" here who talk about being in school and still buying these things.

This. I didn't collect these when I was in college and its a good thing. I was broke as **** to begin with. As long as I was in school, my parents let me live there rent free. But I still had to work full time to help pay for food and what not. I can't imagine doing that again but also racking up insane credit card debt to buy toys. :cuckoo:

What!? I really take great offense to be accused of wanting Roger Moore style Bond. How did you even get there from my comment? You've been in the Bond thread, you should know better.

Beyond that, Connery Bond's had a great sense of adventure, fun and humor. You can like 'humor' in your movies without being charged with "Moore stupidity". And 'Indy was inspired by Bond' is not a news flash; it's really old news. Besides, both have suffered the same fate; they got inanely silly.

I won't even waste my time responding further. See my avatar.

Sorry. You did say "let's not 'Nolan' everything" in response to my OP. And I don't recall ever being in the Bond thread.

Passion for Indy is a good thing.:lol

Indy's the man. "Raiders" really is a perfect movie.

On the same page.:hi5:

I'm finding this likeness so bland and generic that you can see all kinds of other people in there - I thought the China one looked a bit like Sam Neill.

Okay, that's below the belt.:lol

Han at the China International Comic Festival. Pic's not great, but it's the latest one we have.

He's not looking great there. Shows what people have been saying about the too-high hair-piece. The HT window display pics have looked best so far - they really felt HF for the first time to me (though ESB not SW.) High contrast lighting helps the likeness in this sculpt.

I took a frame from the YouTube video, tweaked the image to brighten things up, and ended up with this. Looks like Han Freakin' Solo to me. :wink1:

Collecting is a luxury. It should be done after you have the expendable income. It's a very introverted, obsessive hobby and just gets worse with time if you let it. You shouldn't be doing it if you're living in your parent's basement, alone.

There's these things called friends and girls. They're also really fun to play with.
