I think your right, after all they got a repaint in the guise of War Machine mark II really as technically that was only ever Iron Patriot as far as I'm aware? Not that I'm complaining as I prefer War Machine. :)

I would not be surprised if they start making the MK 43 soon, IF it is really a repaint. Finish the run of the 42 and switch some paint, toss in a new HS and start making the 43.

But when will it be released? After most of the other Avengers have been released? Or will HT throw us a curve and release this at the same time the movie opens and save the Hulkbuster for the end of the line, probably in conjunction with the Hulk?

I could see them making it a limited Movie promo edition figure like GA Captain America...

I'm guessing they'll try & get the rest if the house party protocol suits out before they show us the mark 43..., just a guess though.

Still too many left to do. By the time the HB finally comes out, HT will likely be putting a bow on the HPP.

Do you think they'll keep on cherning them out after the 2nd Avengers film then? I tend to find that companies stop making stuff from films once the next current character specific film comes along. :(

Well, AoU is being released in May '15. Let's say HT takes about a year, year and a half to do all of the figures from that movie. So HT has until possibly late 2016 to do all of the HPP armors. I don't think that's unreasonable.

So happy to finally have this guy in-hand. Seems like I lucked out on QC issues, he's been nothing but awesome.

Looks like Sideshow is straight up ignoring me now with resolving my issues with the figure. I'll cancel every damn figure I have on preorder and get them all at BBTS. Unnacceptable

Is there a serial number on the box or somewhere to know if this figure was part of a defective batch?

Not that I'm aware of.

There's a few site overseas that will identify the batch when you order but if you get if anywhere in NA it's a crap shoot.

What happened?

I'd love that, my wallet wouldn't but I really would love to see SO many suits being made in that space of time. :)

So i wrote to SS about my scratched shoulder (underneath the gold shoulder pad). You can see both the one big paint chip and the multiple scratches. Customer service was straight forward and honest. I appreciate their professionalism as they didn't make the figure. Here are the pics below. They offered me a full refund for returning the figure since they cannot replace the arm. What are the freaks thoughts?IMG_0012.JPGIMG_0008.JPG

From SSC "Unfortunately, as these scratches on the arm are very small in scale and would not be visible when the item is fully assembled, I don’t think I would be able to provide you a replacement for that arm that would be a significant improvement over your current piece. There will be minor imperfections on every piece if you look close enough."

Yea I am leaning towards keeping it. Realize I may get one with shoulder issues and then would be miserable. This guy looks awesome. I know my paint issues, and shoulder issues on this forum may scare people away, but he is worth it. Even my wife thinks he is awesome (even after finding out the $$)

Ah, I see.
