Robert Downey might actually be 5,7 or shorter. Check out these heels which is from IM2

I don't care if Downey is 5'2". He owns that role like he's 10' tall.

I like that Pepper in helmet accessory. I wasn't a fan of the Pepper in the IM suit because I'd been hoping for a Rescue version after reading the rumors. But that's a nice little piece to go with the figure. Paltrow likeness also looks better than the other knock-offs I've seen. Hopefully the company will release an unhelmeted Pepper head sculpt.

Wow, that looks fantastic. I'm still surprised HT has not done their own Pepper Potts, though I have to wonder what she'd come with and what outfit.

On the note of Gwyneth Paltrow and Robert Downey Jr's height, they're both around the same size. I think they're 5"7-5"9, but no more. The suit does indeed make RDJ far taller however

Here are some shots of mine. I did a repaint (as usual) to get it more screen accurate, which meant toning down the 'yellow' for starters. And then, since I like the battle damaged look, I added battle damage. I don't like battle damaged parts on an otherwise mint figure. Just looks wrong and mismatched. I hope you'll give me some feedback!

Some bad news for my fig. I did get the updated arms with the new joint but the part that holds the arm to said joint just sorta failed on me. Literally went to pick this guy up and arm comes falling off, took some pics. Gonna send these into sideshow for a replacement

Im just thinking it was just a bad settling of plastic, hopefully isolated.

Beautiful repaint! Did you just use blackwash?

Tough break, brother! This wasn't the same QC issue as the HK figures, was it? It looks like it failed in a different spot.

I suspect the problem is not as fixed as HT would like it to be.

Bad news.

Thanks man!! That too and a lot more (took me a full day to do this repaint). I started with a subtle layer of silver over the gold to take out the yellow. Then I used my favourite black wash cocktail. After that, I used a wide array of weathering powders. I added more black battle damage with a special pencil. Then I got out my silver paint to do all the paint chipping. Then comes the face and finally I powdered it down and did touch ups until I got it where I like it. That's my usual process. Here's one more shot in daylight. (it was very very late when I finished last night and took pictures :) )

An entire day to repaint? It really shows, you made a great-looking figure look even better! BD on the legs makes this really pop.

After i see the last broken arm, now on another point, i cancel my Mark42. Sorry, but this is to much money. Where was the problem to do the joints like Iron Patriot?

Ahh don't cancel. It's a great figure.

True, but my feeling says do it to me and i trust them. Great piece, but to much to care for. Now i wait für Mark43 from AoU.

It´s not like i have no IM. I´m a fan with 10x HT IM´s with VI, Avenger VI and VII. Maybe this IM´s are a point to say no, but this is just my opinion.

Incredible looking fig.

Best HT IM yet?

Thanks! But the battle damaged mark VII is still my favorite. And I really love the battle damaged mark V as well

Sorry to see what happened to your figure. I hope you get a replacement.

I was at one of my local Hot Toys dealers and they said they are stocking the Mark XLII on December because of the shoulder failures. They said there might be another revision coming though I'm not sure if that is rumor and if not, what those revisions may be. They were supposed to have the Mark XLII in stock 2 weeks ago, but it seems they decided to wait for later batches.

This is a completely different break than the issue being reported earlier. :gah: Seems like the weight of the figure is just too heavy for the plastic joints. In that case they should've been metal. Be careful how you pick this figure up, only lift it by the torso.
