And signed up for preorder. This is a great package.
Already got a plan for the spare head. Capaldi is seen in the orange space suit later. I won't say more or spoil anything. So... I recently used a HT TT figure and adapted the gloved hands at head sculpt of a 1:6 CO 10th Doctor to create a more physically rigid space suit Doctor. So...(again).. I replace the DT head, and I'll replace it with PC. I'll have him holding the helmet.
And of course, this can only mean a fairly rapid release of an actual PC 12th Doctor (signature edition) figure.

That's a great idea!

The whole thing started when the CO 10th Doctor in space suit took a nose dive off a shelf. The leg snapped off.
This is my favorite CO figure as I love the space suit . It's a reminder of the best toy I never got as a kid; the Action a Man in space suit with capsule. Anyways, the busted leg was glued back on, but I wasn't happy with the figure anymore. So I decided to rebuild it on a TT. The finished product looks just the same, but feels way better. Of course, the neck is now fully adaptable to a BC joint.
And I just read the preorder page. The Capaldi is only available if you order direct from BC.

^ I was just coming on to comment about this, the BCS sculpt is far too wide and Capaldi looks far too young. He's older than I imagined him to be.

Signed up, I loved Capaldi in tonight's episode. I was already going to buy this but knowing it comes with a Capaldi head makes it that much sweeter.

Amazingly strong debut from Capaldi .... instantly made his mark (I thought it took Smith most of season 5 to find his feet).

Think I'll definitely get a proper 12th Doctor when BCS get around to it !

Signed up too...really looking forward to this figure! :yess:

:exactly: Great episode and Capaldi was brilliant as the Doctor! I will definitely be getting the BCS 12th Doctor figure now!!

That capaldi head looks like alternate universe walter from fringe

Well since the sculpt is from a 3D digital scan made from Peter Capaldi's actual head, I suppose that means that Capaldi must look like an alt-universe Walter from Fringe. :dunno

The alternate head sculpt release that they are producing as a standalone addition for the Fourth Doctor:

I imagine the Fourth Doctor wasn't considered a big enough seller to justify a full on variant release, so they announced back in June or something that they'd be releasing a smiling head sculpt sometime later in the year. Haven't heard anything more since, though.

This head should have come with the figure. If they can give us 2 headsculpts with 11/12 then there's no reason why this should not have been included with 4.

What, does every figure ever come with two heads as standard? Congratulations on finding a brilliant new way to criticise every 1/6 release.

I guess if it had come with two heads someone would have popped up and whined about only needing one.

A couple of questions if I may:

1)Will this be available in signed and regular releases like the previous ones?
2)Will this be available only through BCS only?

Thing with 2 is, that, If you can order only through BCS the custom fees will be enormous for Greece. Hell, I ordered a pair of Star Trek pajamas from Think Geek and the fees where 200 euro (worst thing was that I got neither the pj nor a refund), imagine what it's going to be for a whole fig! But when I order from ebay or online stores like Super Hero Stuff, or Luke's Toy Store, I don't pay anything.

It appears there is just going to be a limited edition (with the Capaldi head and the Cyberhead) which is sold exclusively through BCS and a regular edition which will be sold at retailers.

Ok I was wrong. Apparently the Capaldi head comes standard. But Handles is part of the limited edition.

:)

More display options are always better. They eventually provided a second head for Amy Pond which was free to customers who already purchased the figure. Just saying they should offer the same with Tom.

Tom just had a bit of a beard. He wasn't the QC disaster that Amy was. But many of us thought when Tom was first announced he would come with 2 heads. It just seemed like the way to go. So I admit, I was surprised that he only came with the one head.
