Here's the weird thing Silrian. It seems like Tamashii is keeping that in mind for Sailor Moon, since the first three girls all have been re-released recently. Mars isn't out again, but her first release is still at retailers. Moon and Mercury were also still at retailers before their re-release too (I got Mercury quite late) but still, we basically had each Sailor Scout in some way available for new comers. So that makes your point even more bizarre, why can't they do that with Dragon Ball?

Yes, DBZ isn't as big in Japan as it is over here and to boot, villains in general aren't as popular in Japan... except for Kaiju, which is strange. They love kaiju, but when it comes to humanoid or robotic villains, don't seem to care very much. It's why bandai has made virtually no villains for their SoC or SRC lines.

The Kaiju aren't villains though. From what I know Gojira often actually saves the city. Japan just loves monsters. DBZ is too normal and too old and honestly, I still maintain that I wouldn't have gotten into DB much had I seen the japanese dub/score. Can't help it, when it comes to Z (not DB, DBZ), the ocean/funi dubs elevated it for me. So in that sense, I have no issue understanding it.

I guess the manga is the prime source of fandom in Japan.

Yes Godzilla/Gojira is definitely not a villain, but I meant Kaiju in general... many of them are villains, though I suppose they aren't evil, just beasts that need to consume everything around them. Although Mechagodzilla is evil... I think. I forget the movie specifics.

I've looked at a few sites to find these for around retail, but what places do you guys recommend? eBay seems to have some good prices on some like SS Goku and Piccolo. I really want a SS Vegeta and I've heard they're coming out with a Vegito figure!

Don't get goku or piccolo from ebay. They are more expensive there. Go for amazon for those two.

I really hope so! A vegeta or gohan oozaru would be incredible. But they would never be in scale with the line so I doubt they do it.

Eh, the Sailor Moon figures aren't web exclusives but I heard that Neptune and Uranus are web exclusives and even have a price increase. That and the series has the reboot, which is imo, how Kai should have been. Oh well. I still hope they fix stuff with the web exclusives. The fact still remains, though, that a newcomer to Sailor Moon figuarts can get into the line easily however.
