I just received a couple of Hasbro Star Wars 3 3/4'' figures and I swear to god - cleaner paintjobs than most 8'' NECA figures I have. WTF.

AND better plastics. Hasbro figures will last 30 years.

NECA's will probably start leaking after a decade... I know some people that have yellowish sticky neca figures already.

If anyone's interested it was Toryn Farr and a snowtrooper commander, both from Empire Strikes Back.

It's frustrating that, at a larger scale and for an older target audience, you have a NECA Hudson with his eyes crossed, Hicks with an asymmetrical hairline because of misplaced paint, Kyle Reese with stubble higher on one side of his face than on the other, paint flaking and scratches........ and yet this tiny little Star Wars figure looks sublime. The eyes are perfect, the hairline is perfect, I don't see slop anywhere.

Well the thing of it is that paint apps vary a lot for Hasbro as well. You can get something great and right next to it on the pegs will be something with eyes completely misaligned or something.

I agree my gears of war figures are solid. They have been new to the articulation for some years . Now might be a reason that they had to up there game for cheap

It sounds like NECA's QC, while never stellar, is at an all-time low. Maybe they just don't give a fuq.

The Aliens line suffers the worst. Almost all of my Xenos had really warped legs, and 3 out of 5 broke right out of the box. The marines are usually decent, but my 2 Pack Hicks has one extremely loose hip.

they use really cheap plastics, their paints are crap, the joints break,

I dont think neca figures are meant to last more than 10 years

VERY loose ankles on my Hudson who (best painted out of eight at my local TRU) had blue paint on his lips.

If there's one figure NECA can't screw up, it's the Queen. I don't care what it takes, Mighty Goddess Shambala, let it arrive intact with stiff, but not brittle joints, and only minor paint app mishaps.

If NECA is so bad then don't buy their figures, simple as that. Buy the McFarlane Queen instead.

I have the McFarlane Queen, still in the box. Not the most accurate Queen, but it was only $20 at TRU.

And it's not like there's a viable alternative to NECA. Who else is producing 6- to 7-inch figures based on the Rated-R properties we all loved and grew up with? That's why THEIR problems are OUR problems.

Yes but didn't they find another factory to do their Alien figures in order to clean up the QC? I think that's a sign they do care.

I'm sure they do care, but I would love it if they actually made real changes. I've read that some members here have dozens of NECA figures and there's a problem with most of them. They want NECA to succeed. One's loyalty can only be tested - and go unrewarded - for so long.

they care enough to get your money,

But if they cared so much how come they don't care that so many people have broken figures?

Most of my NECA figs have pretty good QC, but the Aliens line has it awful. The factory they used really cut corners, hopefully the new one is good.

I've still got my 7" 79 Alien figure from a few years back, in the package.

I'm just waiting to open it now, & have it crumble in my hands. :crying
