The first picture says it all. The skin color looks great. The other photos seem to be wahsed out, maybe from a flash. The helmet looks just fine. I remember somebody saying that the helmet was sculpted seperately from the face. I don't know if the two are then glued together, but maybe we can adjust the helmet ourselves. In the person's hand it looks just right. Sitting on the table, the face looks just slightly lower as if it dropped a little when set down. I don't really know what's going on here for sure, but I think it is going to be just fine. So looking forward to this and all the X-Men pieces. Not looking forward so much to the massive investment, but I'll have one amazing collection. THANKS XM!!!!!

Those photos look familiar eh :lol

Sorry about the pics. XM Studios' lightings are the orange florescent kind, so I believe it washed out some of the colours. Plus, these were the best I could take with an S4 under artificial lighting. Stay tuned to Auggy's professional hi-res photos! He will let each and every one of you experience a MAGASM. :rotfl

This is one heck of an epic piece. The design, details, pose and colours. I was literally having a MAGASM for 2 freaking hours, admiring Mags from all angles (except from bottom up haha). WOW. Just WOW.

Honestly, how is the fit of the helmet in person? Does it actually stick too far off his head, or is it some kind of illusion?

So if i PO this from Bbts, do I still get ganked on import taxes and crazy shipping costs?

Whatever BBTS price is, you will just pay that plus shipping from their warehouse to your door. They have factored in their import and shipping cost into their prices. The one's they have priced at $650 are actually about $550 USD straight from XM, but come out to $700-$750 after shipping from Asia to your door.

This is a work of art. Makes me feel silly for wanting to order the SS Emma Frost

If you don't feel good about anything for a statue you should wait on it. Remember space for these is limited for most of us. Save it for the ones that blow you away and then you will know you must have it.

I know everyone loves my opinions on XM pieces but I figured I throw my two cents in anyway.

This is by far the best sculpt of the finished XM pieces. The throne is ingenious and the paint aps to it look phenomenal. The Sculpt to Magneto's body is much better proportioned than both cap(too thin) and hulk(just not my cup of tea). His body and the throne seem torn right from the comics and done in a realistic way giving the sculpt life. However, the face sculpts are still not shining to me. The Helmeted one looks like M. Bison and the flesh tone seems to be a little too pale, almost ashen as if he were sickly. The portrait without the helm just doesn't look right to me, though I get the emotion they're trying to convey it just doesn't say Magneto to me. Also, one last nitpick, the right foot and cape seem to hover above the Xavier's plaque, wouldn't the weight of his foot push the cape down? Or if his right foot was hovering, wouldn't the cape still succumb to gravity? Just something I found to be a little off.

Overall an excellent job, but at XM prices it would need to be perfect, and for me this isn't perfect.
