I hope Sideshow doesn't have any delays.Is sideshow still shipping these out? I see it says on there site available quarter 4 2014. Any chance a waitlist would convert? Will more of these be for sale soon since the price for this is insane! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It was on waitlist into about May when a very small number of the new batch went up for pre-order. Now that it's on waitlist again I don't think we'll be seeing another run of him again
IMPROTANT UPDATE!
No more kenobis! Due to low demand sideshow will not make a new batch of this statue. I have ordered mine from the biggest collectible store in Poland and I just received a message informing that they (SS) withdraw from the idea of producing more of those statues. Now, wtf sideshow is doing? I start to wonder if they were trying to produce more of them than they officially announced. Otherwise why the heck would they do it this way? It is purely ridiculous! I had serious issues with sideshow, but now they have gone way too far. Today I start officiall boycott of this disgrace of a company.

Most European seller sent mails with that info around june, it seems that SS screw them over and sold themselves whatever they had left or many european retailers offered pieces without consulting sideshow (There weren't many piece left from the ES). Either my PO's on most European sites got cancelled, I only got my "lacitedesnuanges" PO left which probably will end up in a cancellation. That mail that everyone received (including myself) sounds like a lot of crap.
I don't think that SS ever though about making more of this, its unthinkable. As I said above it was either bad communication and assumptions (thinking it was a "new" statue) from the european sellers, or SS crew them over and sold con their site what was promised to european sellers, which wouldn't really make sense why would SS give whats left to Europe when they could sell whatever's left themselves, quite a high demand for this piece.
After that wave of cancellations I jumped on the Wait List on June 3, it hasn't converted and I don't think it will...so I craved and bought one on the after market, could't be happier with Ben
as far as I know they claim the demand was so low that they have decided not to produce any more kenobis. This is their official statement. So dont get too excited as your copy might never get shipped. However this applies to third batch so it may be that if you have ordered yours in second run, you might still get it.

SS was never going to produce "more" Kenobis. They were going to produce what was "left over" from their initial run of 2000 pieces. When they decided this, they sent word to EU shops that they would be getting more stock of Kenobi available. However, at the last minute, SS decided to sell these last pieces through their site and not to the EU shops they had communicated with. Kind of backhanded, but completely within their right to do so.
Long story short, Kenobi is now officially sold out and SS is not making "more" of him. This has been confirmed by one of their reps here on the board as well.

It's all in the eye of the beholder. I think many agree it is one of the best statues available at this time. The amount of detail and the story behind the piece make it a real treasure IMO.
