Has SS ever done clear? Even the Maul droids used black. Be a nice touch, but not expected.
I also agree that you get clear rod that is somewhat durable, especially if this thing turns out to be done in the same material as the Eweb. Very light weight stuff.

We'll see if SS is going to make clear rods for the Probots. Black would be ok for me, but clear would be perfect.

I know everyone is hoping for a clear rod for the support... but it might be an issue of weight with the figure that calls for a metal (more sturdy) rod for support ….hence the black one. Wonder if anyone at SSC could comment?

An acrylic rod was made to hold the old Icons studio scale X-Wing and TIE Fighter, and it worked perfectly. I have a hunch this Probe Droid will be much lighter in comparison with either of the studio scales mentioned above.

An acrylic rube can hold up the Hot Toys Tumbler. This probot, though the specs haven't been listed yet, is going to be much lighter. You just need to spec an appropriate tube. I can't see any reason why they'd use a metal rod for what looks like a relatively light weight plastic figure.

That looks awesome, every time I read a new thread my wallet gets lighter and lighter haha

I wouldn't put too much stock in their 'shipping soon'. When I had the DX13 on PO it said that for 3 months. :lol

Just happened to log onto my Sideshow account and this item says "item(s) shipping soon"??? That's weird, Sideshow's page says it will ship in August. Any thoughts?
That used to happen with my orders on the site all the time. Just some kind of defect with their SW. Ignore it.

I'm really excited to see in-hand pics. I haven't committed to buying, but I'm really interested. I just have to see how much money I can save up (especially in light of what was announced in SDCC and what could be coming from HT), and how it actually turned out.

Pretty sure this will be a homerun by SSC. Really looking forward to getting mine (guessing September since I bought from a local distributor).

One year is quite a wait. If we are lucky it will be this time next year when we receive partial of the recent announcements.

One year may be sufficient to bring quite a fair bit of change to a person's life.:lol
