There was an animated show i watched last summer(I had it playing while i assembled four new detolfs!), and in it, The Flash created a new reality. In any case, in this new reality, Superman was imprisoned when he first landed on Earth and had been kept underground away from sunlight for all these years. He was stooped and skinny, but when he finally got access to sunlight was just as powerful as normal, even though he was not muscled.
For me, this is probably one of the coolest ideas. That Clark could be 5 feet tall and skinny and still able to move the earth and be invulnerable.

Superman's physique has dependent on the artist..I've seen him built like a bodybuilder in one story arc and the size of a normal guy a handful of issues later

Yeah, that's from Flashpoint Paradox as well, but it makes sense for that version of Superman since he was deprived of sunlight his entire life, his body not feeding up on radiation is not going bulk up instantly.

However, any other version of Superman has lived under the sunlight his entire life, which grants him big muscles.

Power does come from his muscles, just like any other being, he can work out those muscles to be stronger, he would need to bench press the earth but still :lol

I doubt that version of Superman is nearly as powerful as the regular versions.

That's not really true.

Other than alternate versions, he's always depicted with impressive physique.

That's Justice League: Flashpoint based off the The Flashpoint Paradox comic run

really love the character design of that feature

The sun gives Superman muscles :gah: he's naturally a big guy.

Simple enough :lol

:goodpost: :exactly:

Did you read anything after McGuiness' run? Totally normal sized and doing the same things

Like Ed Benes and Rags Morales? Yeah, totally average Joe physique.

Not even Murphy and his awesome over stylized art made him average looking.

Superman peak physique is directly tied to the character, Superman is always one of the tallest in the room, and even when he's not Mcguinnes out of his mind roided out ripped, he's still well above normal.

I wonder if SS will do more villians since there doing justice league. Since there doing 2 premium formats for females I look for them to come in 1/6 soon Babs and power girl..(aka wonder bra). "it's a wonder hers hasn't snapped"

Haha. I always laughed at the official explanation for that big gap in her costume.

They might be attached. In the pics on the Sideshow site, it doesn't mention that they come off.

Yeah, I couldn't find anything either. I hope they do though. Not that I don't like it, but I'd like to get one of them out and recreate that pose. Even one of the hands it comes with looks pretty much like that.

Bra? Kryptonian firmness has made it so she'll never need one. But hey, even She-Hulk wears a bra sometimes. I can't imagine for PG and Shulkie that any human made bra would stand those rigors.

Yeah but Supes' kryptonian physiology grants him peak physical form.

Anyway, Supes' looks great on that tiny pic, it's all about the posing and people at this type of Cons can't pose their figures for sizzle :lol

Is there a bigger size of that pic?

That pic was from a bunch of pics which were linked on the SSC 1/6 Batman thread:

There are a whole bunch of in-hand pics. Although I think the camera used is causing some distortion in the pics....

My man. Thanks a lot, those look awesome. Doesn't look like the cape has that opening/gap at the back like the preview pictures though. I suppose it's not finished yet.

Also, holy ****. Those are some real balloon muscles there Batman.

Ya, my understanding is that the Batmans they had there are production pieces. The Superman is still slightly pre-production (but I'm not sure). In any case, because the cape on Supes is removable, I'm hoping I can adjust to add a little more of that roman cape look...

Both figures were pre-production samples...Bats is just a little further along in the process. Both were made by the factory but neither were production line samples.

Bats' color will be tweaked and Supes' suit will be adjusted/tightened in areas...the shorts in particular were very loose around the waist.

Not sure if this has been asked before, but do we know if the flames from the "heat vision" sculpt can come off? Like in the EX of the PF.

No. They don't come off.

Keep in mind that much like the Joe line, this line will be transitioning more to a SSCs influenced costume design...same with the Marvel comic line. Hence the difference in the Supes' physique and Bats' physique. That's also why the Flash and GL have a slightly more realistic feel for the costumes while Supes and Bats have a more comic style. The next incantation of each character will have more SSCs influence and less straight comic translation.
