Here is another tweak... just ever so slightly tweaked the sixe of the iris and pupils

Wow nice job :clap

Hmmm... On the one hand, it looks good, but on the other hand, it seems physically inacurrate to me, as if he had to cut off the top of his skull to fit the helmet so tight... Don't forget that eyes are supposed to be right in the middle of your face, which isn't the case on the right. What we're used to see in 2D comic books can't always be redone exactly in 3D, harder to cheat proportion and perspective wise.

The only change I made was the top of the helmet. I didn't mess with the face or anything else, so the eyes being off might just be an illusion since both faces are the same. It might appear kind of odd because the top of the helmet is not 100% smooth. Right where the peak of the reflection is (center/right), you can see there's a slight flat spot. Just follow the red on the left side of the reflection and you can see how it kind of starts to taper towards the top. If I kept that even, I'm sure it'll look much better. As minor as that is, it makes a difference.

Looking better definitely :)

Yes it is! Small details make all the difference.

I know you didn't change his face at all. But by shortening the top of the helmet, it indirectly means you've shortened the top of his head at the same time. The back and top of his head have to be shorter as they have less space given the fact the helmet was shortened. What I'm worried about is that it works really good in that particular angle, but could be awkward seen from somewhere else.

Who's best to order this from? I got my xm cap from simplytoys but not so interested in their no help with breakage policy..

sent from the boss seat of the DeLorean

The skin tone doesn't look like human, too lime

Love Spideys comparison pictures. Such a small simple tweak but man what a difference

So they got the mouth turn I was talking about and it looks way better. Here is the same tweak I did with the brow before with this new pic.

I'm fine with either of those. Maybe add in some color to make the skin tone not so ashen looking, but when you're destroying Sentinels you'll get a little smokey.

For me the one has more emotion than the other, and I think it is obvious by the work they are doing with the paint job that they are going for a more gritty look so I think the grittier facial expression works.

I tend to agree. Though the shortened helm looks better, it may be a tad too short, so morphing it to fit in between the two versions maybe just perfect.

As for the brow, mouth, & iris morphs(?), all are definite improvements, & yes, I would also prefer a paler skin tone. If these changes are rendered by XM, this statue would be as perfect as XM envisioned, & we the collectors/clients would be floored by their unmatched willingness to actually work the partnership they are rapidly establishing with their fan base, which is exploding in leaps & bounds.

Great work XM, we are forever grateful for your formidable skills, & your unprecedented company policies.:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap

I went ahead and downloaded, I mean bought :wave, a copy of photoshop. I'm clearly no expert but since no one has made any attempt at photoshopping this (to my knowledge), I used my lack of editing skills to kind of bring to life what a lot of people are asking for.

I reduced that lipped edge on the back of the helmet as that looked kind of weird on the shorter helmet. I'm going to try and work on the unmasked head though that may be a little tougher than a simple cut/resize.

I think the XM works because of his head tilt. The lip on the back of the helmet is raised and extended because his head is bowed. If his head was up and forward, the lip would be closer to his head/neck, and it would also provide protection to his neck if his head was thrown back and looking up. No offense to what you've done. The way XM did it just makes sense as far as how things need to actually work.

A good sculptor could make the changes I have done here with some Apoxy sculpt in a few hours, at the most a day. The mouth has already been taken care of with the paint, the eyes could be dealt with similarly, and the brow is simply a matter of resculpting it and bringing it down. Digitally it would take maybe even less time.

The lip at the back doesn't bother me, it's the E.T. sized dome on the top.

I keep repeating myself because I hope XM is reading. The photoshop tweak looks miles better...perhaps somewhere between the two would look amazing.

Here are some more pics for XM that I hope they use for reference. This is a real person wearing an awesome Magneto helm, and it just doesn't stick way off the top of his head like that.

To me the what makes the origional Doom PF so amazing is the detail on his throne. Doom himself is ok but that throne is outstanding. I wasn't collecting when it was available so I missed out. This Magneto will be another huge hit for years to come.

Oh yeah, the throne was boss.

head sculpt is looking better, but it's still pretty weak for something of this scale. It's the weakest part of the statue as far as i'm concerned...sadly it's the single most important part of the statue.

I hope those of you who are begging for the changes place an actual order when its fixed to your standard

I am not begging for anything. I am simply making suggestions, and for the most part they have been pretty well received by even those who were shooting me down before. XM is a unique developer in that way. They have already listened to the input Mags and others made on the paint job.

Exactly. I'm looking at you Spidey :wave

Simple question Yank... What do you think of the suggestions I have made? If you hate them then hey speak up. If you like them have to stones to say so. If you don't care then hay say that too, but at least weigh in Dude. As for me buying this, well that just isn't going to be in the cards I don't think. The shipping and import fees on this would crush me.

My suggestions are born out of YEARS of participating in an artistic community where people offered feedback when presented with a WIP piece. XM is doing this to get input and encourage excitement. I don't feel like I am taking ANYTHING away from that. In fact most have been nothing but positive about what I have done.
