Here you go guys, centurion asked me to put a few here for you guys, sorry didn't talk a lot cuz im not a huge fan of Godzilla but I must say its a pretty cool piece, enjoy guys!

Re: Upcoming Sideshow GODZILLA Collectibles

The more pics I see the more flat and dull the paint app looks. Love the sculpt, but the paint is just bleh. One bland grey color with random green/yellow stains inbetween various armor plates and scales.

Agree. When I first saw this I thought why are they putting up an unpainted prototype? It looks like it just came out of the casting mould and sprayed with matte grey apart from the mouth detailing. Compared to the paintwork on some of the dinosauria pieces this is pretty underwhelming. Amazing sculpt though.

Re: Upcoming Sideshow GODZILLA Collectibles

I agree with some on here. I kinda underwhelmed with the paint app. :( The sculpt is beautiful, but I wish there was more color, highlights or something. Last gripe: I wish it was bigger. At 22" (?), this thing is about the same size as the new Spider-Man comiquette. I just wish it commanded more presence. Hopefully, my tune will change, but I've losing my love for this one a bit.

Re: Upcoming Sideshow GODZILLA Collectibles

Size and price will decide for me.
If it is indeed in the 22" range I doubt I could justify more than $600.
Should of been a 30" beast.

And granted, I understand bigger means more $$$, but I almost feel like it's a given. Godzilla NEEDS to be big. Real big. The price tag wouldn't bother me as much because I expect it, you know? (My rant doesn't really make much sense, but it does in my head. :lol)

To the issue regarding color:

He really wasn't much more than that. :lecture

But I understand where you're coming from, that's why the base needed to have a little more to it. The side of a building, torn down with it's insides sticking out, a smashed car or a few flattened trees, etc. Something to give it more details since the variation in color is minimal. I think they got the color right and the pose rocks.

I'm really just disappointed with the overall height. Well, let's see... I might be adding 'price' to that list of disappointments.

Re: Upcoming Sideshow GODZILLA Collectibles

agreed, this looks a beast.

Re: Upcoming Sideshow GODZILLA Collectibles

The distance of the piece from the glass makes me believe that the piece is actually closer to 24.inches not 22. And thats big enough for me. Im pleased with it. Maybe they will do a larger version down the line if this sells well. Im also seriously thinking the piece will cost $450 no more no less. And if im correct it will be a day one purchase. Especially considering that an x plus figure of that size goes for roughly the same price if not more.... We shall see. Fingers crossed

Re: Upcoming Sideshow GODZILLA Collectibles

Any obsessive compulsive people out there think that the nose/snout of the SS piece is longer than the movie version?

I love this statue and will almost certainly get it, but I keep looking at pics of this and stills of the movie and the length of the snout looks off.

PS - Are there any other companies like Sideshow Collectibles other than WETA?
