Hahah dharper mentioned her.

Did the heads come separately.

By separately do you mean that she wasn't already connected? Cause she was in 5 separate pieces: the body, the head, two arms, and the cape.

Yes exactly. Was her head separate from her body for shipping purposes.

It might have to do with QC as well. Faces (women's in particular) seem to be the thing they have the most issues with. If the head isn't connected to the body it's a lot easier and more cost efficient to replace. It costs less to ship just a head and they still have a body replacment for someone because it wasn't attached. It gives better/cheaper replacement options.

This all started because I or someone else asked if a head came separately and as usual CSI stepped and made a comment trying to make us look dumb by saying that unless it has a COH its ALWAYS connected to the body. So we've been just thinking of situations where a statue without a COH has had that happen because, well why not.

I'd buy that. Remember when Ivy shipped and there were about 20-30 people with various hair and eye issues. They would have had to replace the whole statue. Harley on the other hand while barely heard a peep about issues if they need to make a replacement its pretty simple.

Can you think of a statue that came with a removable head only for shipping purposes and not a change-o-head?

From what I have:

Scarlet Witch PF has a removable head with no switch out but otherwise her cape couldn't be put on.

Hawkeye and Apocalypse PFs have removable heads with no switch outs.

Thanks Peedi. So it seems like there are a LOT of examples

Well first of all, I asked the question because I was genuinely curious if there had ever been one as I do not own one, nor have I seen one. Secondly, Jedisword does not need any help looking stupid all on his own :wink1:

With Apocalypse these probably didn't want attach the beautifully painted heads to the terribly painted bodies.

Removable heads make sense with pieces as big as Apoc because every inch counts when trying to reduce the size of the box for shipping purposes. Something like Black Cat doesn't though.

I think this is my favorite piece from SDCC this year. Maybe along with 1-2 others.

This is easily my best in show.
Just such a stuuning piece.

Court of the Dead (entire line) get's the coveted number 2 spot & Powergirl in at 3 :)

I know everyone is bonkers for Lobo but the character does nothing for me & as great as it is if I don't like the character it's not getting in the list ;)
