Agreed, this looks to be a cool figure otherwise. One neat thing is that you can display him with his mask on and he's a good representation of the comic version right now. Of course, that's because the current comic version is based on the movie but that's neither here nor there.

I'm really excited to see this guy! Hopefully tomorrow night we get some pics or videos or something. TBH I'm not to hung up on the shirt color. This figure looks like it will be one of their best yet and I don't plan on missing out :)

no that is here and there, I like the costumes and character looks in this movie, especially StarLord, they're not perfect Comic version representations but they're damn close

I just looked and realized that his shirt in the comics is white-grey like the preview pic. It's also white in some of the concept art. Do you think think the shirt color might be on purpose to get it closer to the books? How weird would it be if he came with both colors just for that reason?

I posted a pic awhile back of the concept art saying the same thing...honestly not sure what they will do about it. Really doesn't bug me...I actually like the white

Can't wait to see this go up for pre-order. Looks excellent, based on the preview shot. I'm not so sure about Groot and Rocket. I'd love to have the entire team but both seem really steep in price for what you get. They also look more like toys than Hot Toys usually do. To me at least.

Went to the red carpet event in Hollywood tonight, what an amazing time. My Son got his Star-Lord helmet and blaster autographed by James Gunn, Michael Rooker, Zoe Saldana, Benicio Del Toro and Bradley Cooper (who by the way spent 10x more time with the fans than anyone else...that guy must have taken 100 selfies with people's cell phones, seriously).

When Del Toro signed his blaster, my Son told him "You can just add that to your collection".

When Bradley Cooper was signing his blaster, my Son told him "that's a fake laugh" but I don't think he heard it or got it. I was so hoping he would have said "IT'S REAL!!"

Anyway, we were down toward the end near where everyone was getting dropped off. They told us that there would be no more people coming so we headed over to where the theater entrance was. On the way in, James Gunn saw us again, HUGE grin on his face, stuck his hand out to shake my hand, and asked if he could get a photo with my Son. This was the highlight of our night. :)
