Not really custom news (and sorry if this has been mentioned already), but I just learned from a very reliable source, that there will be a 1/6 TOD Indy from Sideshow at their booth at comic con!

Sideshow's the one with the license (likely from Hasbro) - which was subbed out (again) to Hot Toys for their figure.
Not really sure what Sideshow can bring to the 1/6 Indy game now, apart from the new headsculpt - and we all know how well they turn out.....

The reality is that SSC's heads have been pretty good for the last few years. Drake seems to have made everyone forget about that.
Also, people seem to be very happy with SSC's new muscle body. And Drake's tailoring and leather work seem to be very well done.
And considering the only really decent Indy head has been from SSC. . . I'm not sure it's wise to poo-poo Sideshow at this point.

I love my HT Indy (modified) but SS seems to have the best ones out there. The original Les Stalker mod is beautiful, and MarfMaster's shrunken PF is borderline perfect. This could be epicsauce.
Believe me when I say I don't want to be cynical about this. But what is there left to do? A ripped shirt? A holster?
Sideshows heads may have improved since the first release, but they are still woeful in comparison to many other company releases.
The so called 'custom' recasts of HT heads on ebay have better paint jobs and the new construction methods of SS heads appear to be a step back.
will be happy to eat my Fedora if this works out well, but for now (or until the release of Hoth Luke and Han) colour me pessimistic.

Yeah, I wouldn't go getting excited just yet. Look at the Indy heads since the Raiders one, they got worse. If they can pull it off then great, but, I'm not holding my breath.

I wouldn't say the likenesses got worse in the SS Indy line. They were definitely a bit too large (German Disguise and Crystal Skull Indy), but the likeness by Trevor Grove was clearly Ford.

The hat on the KOTCS one was way too small. My thought on the size of the heads was an allowance for mold shrinkage that never cropped up in the end.

I hope it is true, but I also hope they revisit the outfit. After seeing the Sideshow next to the HT, the Sideshow outfit looks pretty cheap. Not to mention the Kato jacket/outfit.
But if they do revisit the outfit, I think they'll do a good job. The Nathan Drake, despite the poor production head, has a great fitting outfit.

I'm not sure I'd claim Hot Toys is a better choice when it comes to Indiana Jones....

I wonder if they will do the TOD fedora or cheat and do a Raiders fedora?

Why do do think they would do that? So they can do a "generic" Indy? So they can re-do their original Raiders Indy under the guise of a TOD Indy? Or because they're sloppy?

Well at the very least we will have some 1/6th TOD parts that we have been sorely lacking.
