There are other European distributors, you just have to fiddle with the Find a Distributor boxes.. I made that mistake the first time I visited HT's site too.. fairly sure Amerang would be the official distributor for Ireland as well.
Went through all this before. They are not official channels for customers to buy HT items from. They are just trade distributers, some of them pretty defunct and dodgy looking as well.

The only recognised HT outlet for Europe is SS and that's in US.
So basically HT are not taking responsibility for anything outside their own stores and SS.
Which is ludicrous. I'm not giving those ****ers my money anymore.

Good for you, Rory. It really is the only message they'll understand. I've trimmed my pre-orders (though SSC got hit harder than HT), but not quite ready to foreswear all HT, just yet. One more bad release (that I'm on the hook for) will do it, though.

Just looked at there facebook, looks like they dont give a **** about there customers either.
Seems no-one in this hobby does. Like many have mentioned, I can't think of another high-end industry that is this dismissive to its customers.

What company is making the queen and powerloader? NECA? Anywhere online I can see this?

NECA

Someone else brought up this quote earlier in the whole mess but it's perfect:

''Your company built the ****ing thing. Now I gotta deal with it?''

NO!

I was only kidding. We did the shake and bake. I got the Power loader and you got the Queen.

Big King kong sized bollocks!

Just pre-ordered this ***** four days ago and paid in full up front, after holding off because of concerns about his sheer size.

Lucky I came across this thread.

Thanks for bringing these quality issues (or extreme lack of) to light guys. Time to chase up a refund while I still can! Although....gutted to do so, as old Ed looked extremely impressive in reviews.

I only got into collecting seriously a few months ago and have already found Hot Toys to be hit and miss. That's a Superman with wire poking through his cape, a Hulk with a big black smudge on his green gut and now Ed 209 with rubber parts rotting faster than Emil's face after he got an all over rinse in toxic waste. There was me thinking Enterbay were the top guys for QC **** ups.

Seriously disappointed to see Toys HQ seemingly trying to pull a fast one with their assurances over problems being limited to the 'first batch'. We're short of reliable retailers selling these things here in the UK as it is. Guess it's time to cross another one off the list.

If you paid by Credit Card you should be ok.. lots of Hot Toys figures are awesome.. but when they mess-up, it's big time.

Glad that the info is helping ^^
Spread the word my firend and welcome :)

So, I saw it mentioned that sometimes the rubber cracks quickly, and others no issues even today. Which figures seem to have trouble? I have MMS67 and Toy Fair and still no issues with those.

Ok it's official. I have done what Rorywan and others have recommended, I used a magnifying glass and yep, I see cracks developing all along the front. I am CERTAIN that everyone has this issue. Regardless of the cause this is wrong and completely irresponsible of Hot Toys. They must amend this travesty. I am going to find a lawyer who will class action lawsuit this ********.

That last bit where you mention a lawyer Yes:fireworks:ccheerlea:fest:blissy
