[XM Studios] 1/4 Comic Hawkeye

Really digging the paint up of this hawkeye, got me about ready to pull the trigger once I see it go up on bbts.

Haha, This new Thor looks like an old Ralph Fiennes. "Do you see? DO YOU SEE???"

Figured this thread would start bumping once those pics made it here. I am a huge fan of the SS Hawkeye but let's be real here. He doesn't hold a candle to XMs rendition. The veins, musculature of the chest and abdominal muscles. The shading on the costume looks superb! Paint app looks amazing. The darker colors look really good on this. Details in the arrow case and costume. The only thing I was unsure about on this Hawkeye was the mask..... Until I saw it painted!! Now all of this aside... let's see the final product.

However if XM delivers (they will) I'll get an XM Fanboy T Shirt, take a self portrait, and use it as my avatar. Love to see someone argue that when I have this and the rest of their marvel collection in hand. (Will still have my SS stash as well but some are getting upgraded)

Oh BTW anyone looking for a good deal on a SS Hawkeye Ex?

Agree....and I'll sign your T-shirt. Without question, this XM version crushes Sideshow's. Not even the mods or anyone else who scoffs at XM Studios can come in here and give this statue the props it deserves. Crazy how they all just turn a cheek when it's something awesome other than usual Sideshow, but I can bet those same dudes view this thread more times than anyone. If this was made by Sideshow, there'd be like 50 pages added on just today from collectors orgasming in their shorts. Awesome work, XM. This one is a top three from you guys for sure. I can't wait to see when Mags and Wolvs get their paint apps.

The SSC Hawkeye is a great piece, and a prefer it to this one for a few reasons, but that doesn't make this a poor piece. It is just a great alternative.

I agree this "us versus them" is getting kind of old.

The SS hawkeye remains my favourite because I am not a fan of the realistic take done by xm or their choice of colours for the costume.

Your right Spidey. SS did do a great job on their Hawkeye. It's been my favorite rendition of him for quite some time. I just think this XM one is a better execution of the character. the poses are similar but the detailing is far apart. Not trashing SSs by any means. I own it so I obviously liked it enough to drop the loot. That's why we have an open forum.

To your other post I say this is not a vs thing by any means. Take all the labels away period. this new hawkeye statue is impressive by anyone's standards yet there are people that will poke at XM any possible way they can. I have no frigging clue as to why this is the case. I get into it with someone almost on the regular now because instate my opinion and get thrashed by devoted SS fans. Little do they know I own ten times more of SSs product then they probably do. SS has so many amazing statues but we all know that the QC has been rather hit or miss with some recent and older pieces. Not sure why this can't be discussed without fists flying out of the crowd. If XM sends me a shoddy paint job I'll post pics and let everyone know the same. The main point is this is not a war by any means. It's the beginning of the disassembling of a monopoly in the form of one company that up until know was the only marvel game in town. I personally think that the more options we have will make all companies step up their game. Competition is good for this hobby and I know SS is here to stay but so is XM. That should be a good thing. Not a arguement waiting to happen

I don't think there is that much us vs them, xm vs ss, in a mean spirited way. There are two companies putting out statues of the same characters, it would be ridiculous if people didn't compare them to decide which they want to buy. And then when they do decide it is only logical that they would point out the reasons, especially if they have had bad first hand experiences. You're being a little too sensitive Spidey, its not like someone is going to say "I flipped a coin this morning and it landed on SS Hawkeye. It is literally indiscernible from the XM one, but I'll buy it anyways."

After seeing those pictures I'm glad I pre-ordered Hulk, IMO this is the ultimate Avengers collection...

If you strip away all the details on his body and equipment, the awesome paint application, made him a hollow statue and then painted him using gay bright fluorescent colors, then yep just like SS

And I use the term gay as its original definition which is to mean happy
