The detail on this is incredible. But I'm really surprised by the price. I expected cheaper. Yet I guess all that detail and moving parts adds up. Lucky for me I don't need The Bat. What I want is the 89 Batwing. I hope that turns up at SDCC. Even if it's just an announcement. I assume it will be 1/12 as well.

I can't see them making a 1/12 89 Batmobile now given the price of The Bat. It would only be $100 or so cheaper with the figures. And from what I'm seeing of the joints on the 1/12 figures, they are to be inside of the vehicles.

Re: Hot Toys TDKR 1/12 THE BAT Regular & Deluxe w/ Selina & Bomb (Official Specs+Pics

$780

And people wanted them to do it in 1/6 :lol

Re: Hot Toys TDKR 1/12 THE BAT Regular & Deluxe w/ Selina & Bomb (Official Specs+Pics

$780 + $100 shipping. LOL

This thing is gonna be a lemon. Good luck retailers.

They said that about the Iron Man Hall of Armor Sets, a bunch of boxes people actually bought.

Oh, I don't doubt people will actually buy this. In fact, I know 3-4 people in this section that would buy them regardless of price.

Have the Hall of Armor Sets actually sold well though? I dunno.

I loled at that set when it debuted too.

Where are we getting $780

So it's roughly (rounded up) 29.5 long 16.5 wide and 10.5 inches tall . That's a big piece

Re: Hot Toys TDKR 1/12 THE BAT Regular & Deluxe w/ Selina & Bomb (Official Specs+Pics

Most expensive single piece by HT yet. Gotta have it though.

Re: Hot Toys TDKR 1/12 THE BAT Regular & Deluxe w/ Selina & Bomb (Official Specs+Pics

Looks like pieces are just waiting to break off that thing!

Re: Hot Toys TDKR 1/12 THE BAT Regular & Deluxe w/ Selina & Bomb (Official Specs+Pics

HT took a little too long to release this, my interest has passed, but still looks like a nice piece.

Re: Hot Toys TDKR 1/12 THE BAT Regular & Deluxe w/ Selina & Bomb (Official Specs+Pics

Whoooaaa that's expensive.. but I still want it! :thud:

Re: Hot Toys TDKR 1/12 THE BAT Regular & Deluxe w/ Selina & Bomb (Official Specs+Pics

Huh. Speaking, purely, in terms of dimensions. The Tumbler is actually bigger than this, in both height, and width, and this is only half an inch longer, so, why the massive price jump? I'm betting the motorized elements, like the propellers and turbines, have a large impact, but, nevertheless, almost $800 for the deluxe edition, probably over that with shipping. Makes me frightened to see what the '66 Batmobile will cost.

Re: Hot Toys TDKR 1/12 THE BAT Regular & Deluxe w/ Selina & Bomb (Official Specs+Pics

Do you want it . . . or the Catwoman? :wink1:

I bet we see a ton of part outs on ebay for the Batman and Catwoman figures from folks that are only interested in Hot Toys 6" figures. Catwoman will probably go for ridiculous prices. I'm curious to see how those two turn out (and if Catwoman's goggles are a QC nightmare like the 12" doll).

I've already asked myself that question. :lol

I was always planning on getting The Bat in 1/6 scale if it ever happened.. so I still think I want the entire set.

We've got more than a year to go, so we'll see.

Re: Hot Toys TDKR 1/12 THE BAT Regular & Deluxe w/ Selina & Bomb (Official Specs+Pics

Seeing that release date, that's like a little less than $50 a month from now to October; they're certainly giving people enough time to save. I don't know what to think of this thing. Batmobile's, I understand, but this...I don't know; the coolest way to display it, and the most natural, would be to have it hanging from your ceiling. That would also be the most insane way to display it; no, I'm serious; you would literally have to be crazy to hang what looks to be an incredibly delicate collectible that costs almost $800 to your ceiling, and how the hell would someone even do it? Tie some fishing wire around it, and watch as your ceiling collapses along with it?:lol

Re: Hot Toys TDKR 1/12 THE BAT Regular & Deluxe w/ Selina & Bomb (Official Specs+Pics

I wouldn't wish that on my worst enemy; selling The Bat, I mean. As massive as that thing will be, and as fragile as some of those pieces look. That would have the potential to be a shipping and/or feedback nightmare.

Re: Hot Toys TDKR 1/12 THE BAT Regular & Deluxe w/ Selina & Bomb (Official Specs+Pics

Nice but at at least $800, that's a little steep. Especially since I have never seen 1/12 HT figures yet.

Re: Hot Toys TDKR 1/12 THE BAT Regular & Deluxe w/ Selina & Bomb (Official Specs+Pics

Ehh flex payed

Re: Hot Toys TDKR 1/12 THE BAT Regular & Deluxe w/ Selina & Bomb (Official Specs+Pics

I just can't justify the price of this. Especially being out of scale with all the other figures I have this just isn't for me. I'd rather get The Tumbler if I could for a decent price.

True, I wonder how many duds and complaints there will be, if any.

- "my propellers don't work properly!"
- "this thin piece just snapped off!"
- "there's scratches!"
- "the figures limbs are too loose (too tight)!"
- "glue marks!"
- "my lights don't work!"
- "the gun turrents are too fragile and broke!"

NO REPLACEMENTS?!?!

Here's hoping the '66 vehicle isn't priced like this. I should have known that they'd inflate ever since the $630 '89 Batmobile. Even then I thought that was a bit overkill. Now? Oh boy. :lol
