So I had asked by them to be put on the waiting list in December, each month I followed up, they asked me to e-mail them the next month. Then browsing the forums, saw that people on the waitlist had a chance to buy the status. I e-mailed them, they replied i was not on that list.

Now yesterday browsing again I find out they have 5 left and I can add to cart.

I decided to check out and it completed.

Today, just now I get a email saying its processed and dispatched to the U.S. warehouse.

So I do agree there is a problem with the system, i was on the waitlist yet after they went through the initial invites, I never got one. I was just roaming the forums and saw that there are 5 left on first come first serve basis.

It cost me $746 shipped to Florida

Be happy you got one in the end. $746 is a good price. Cost me very close to $1000 Canadian dollars for this.

Damn it all... I keep considering buying a second from Weta and sitting on one until the price goes back up and I can get my money back from the one I bought at bbts... Friggin bbts offered to "buy back" mine from them for store credit... even though it is still sitting in their warehouse, never shipped it, for $800 plus shipping fees, which would be $861. So I'd be losing $200, gaining back basically $130 in value if I do that and buy one from weta for $736. But I would be out actual cash now. Eventually I would spend the $860 at bbts anyway throughout the year... getting stryker eureka statue from them and several other things. But damn, this is all just angering the conscientious side of me that hates wasting money (that's not the side that buys toys and statues in the first place).

It's gone now. Good thing, I guess. I was about to say **** it and buy a second one from them... I'll just live with having overpaid $300 to get one from BBTS. At least I didn't buy one for $1500 on ebay. Time to just ship this sucker and enjoy the damn statue already lol. Once I see it on the shelf, hopefully the wasted $300 will fade from memory.
