I doubt Art Figures would bother trying to make this at all if they had to pay licensing costs, and deal with all the other associated issues like getting licensor approval for this or that.

In terms of demand, I think there is definitely a niche demand, but it wouldn't touch something like a Predator or Iron Man figure. I don't think Hot Toys would touch this with a 10 foot pole.

This is Django all over again. Watch all the sites pull it.
Very different in the sense that Django was a licensed figure from a relatively big name company. Enterbay just wasn't going to make it because Miramax pulled the license. This is not licensed, and as Deckard said, might still conceivably be produced seeing as how about 80% of the figures these kinds of companies put out are bootlegs of a sort.

I guess the amount of attention this figure's getting included attention from the license owners. But yeah, I think there's no need to worry. It might be pulled out from US Sellers, but AF will continue with the production.

Hopefully if poo poo hits the fan our orders maybe able to be switched over to an overseas distributer to get around it.
Well narked, not at art figures or the UK retailers but at Rebellion for sitting around on their fat arses and waiting for somebody to do all the work then step in for a slice of the cake.

So far it looks like only UK stories affected: CK, OSB and ToyHQ.

I ordered a second one from KG Hobby to cover the two that look to be lost from CK. :(

UPDATE: 14:17
For all the Emails we are receiving regarding AF-015 Heavy Armoured Special Cop.

We have contacted Art Figures: (their stand on the situation is they are currently dealing with this issue)

We will update everyone again very soon - DC

Art had to be pretty far into production for the release date next month. This figure will still pop up. We will have to fight each other to the death for them.

We will not be working with Art Figure. We are constantly discussing new licenses with high-profile companies from around the world, bootleg and unlicensed merchandise undermines that work.

As far as I am aware they have only asked them to remove the sale page.

That's bull. All we have, to my knowledge, is a comic concerning this rendition of Dredd.

Well fack them then!
The cheek of them saying art figures isn't high profile.
Yeah maybe not as hot toys but they are getting work done!

Take note 3A!!!!!!

What a shame. I was very impressed by the figure. Hopefully we can still get it from eBay.
