POed before going to work this morning. The extra tools are too good to pass. I now have 4 Sideshow Ex 1/6 on order. Crossing fingers R2, Luke and Han Hoth won't be comnig all at once.

One question remains, will we see 3PO displayed alongside R2 at SDCC?

Just ordered it. Am I missing something though? I don't see any mention of the restraining bolt in the what's in the box specs. Also, what exactly do they mean when they say Optional Illuminated Princess Leia Transmission Hologram?

Probably that she isn't fixed to the table, so you can either have her on there...or not.

Not an expert myself but it would appear R2 is 1/2" too tall. Waiting for more input to make my mind though.

From the Blueprints one does calculate a height of 107,8 cm (about 42 1/2 inches). I measured a height of the R2-D2 at the Smithsonian Exhibition in Washington, D.C. of about 107-108 cm, which very nicely confirms the blueprints.

At 1/6 that would be 7", which makes him .25" too short.


Wookieepedia records the height as 0.96m, which would make him 6.25" at 1/6.

I think it was Devilof76 who mentioned that Sideshow's height places their figure in the middle of the range.
