I haven't got one to paint at the minute. But if I did get one I would definitely paint it clean, I see no reason at all for the BD on this, it always looks poor anyway..

Well I hope my WIP pics will help you when you come round to doing your one :hi5: I think it will look even better clean

:exactly

You won't convince the apologists regardless of how much common sense you use.

Extremes are fun. It makes it easy to summarily dismiss people we disagree with.

I guess given a choice of being an apologist or troll I'll stick up for this statue if not necessarily SS. My statue was fixed with less than twenty minutes of work.

People will always argue about paints but SS handled this whole upside down ARC thing wrong. The part in question could have been easily fixed at the factory and they should have insisted on it.

If given the choice of apologist or not supporting a horribly executed product after a 2 year long delay coupled with dispicable business practice of changing the product photo's to sneakily include an upside down reactor without making any mention of it to customers, I will go with the latter.

Giving them your money at any price point only reinforces this negative behavior.

To be fair Alex and Sideshow dealt with the matter well once aware of the issue.

Not an ideal situation but Sidehow put their faith in the factories, yeh there should of been production checks.
Offering a full refund or return of NRD was their only option, I'm not sure what you expected them to do?

Don't buy it, no one is asking you to but this looks damn cool and I'm more than happy with the discounted price.

Which issue are you referring to? Because there are many.

And yeah there should have been production checks - 2 years and this still came out THIS bad? How quickly apologists let that go. From their Studio Tour in their own words:

"Bringing you the best 3d representations of your favorite pop culture icons is hard work…and we love every minute of it! Each piece we create represents months, sometimes years, of dedicated planning and production."

If you're claiming to be the best than you have a standard to live up to, and this clearly is not it. How many Iron Man bust ****-ups is it going to take for apologists to stop making excuses?

Anyway.
Battle Damage looks better in person, pictures really highlight how bad it is...

What exactly is your problem? :slap Am I asking you to buy it? :slap

That was a 'Anyway...(I'm posting pictures)' :cuckoo:

Wait a minute, so what you're saying is that you're going to quote me (like you have above) and post a comment(s) and I don't get an opportunity to reply? And if I do, I have a problem? :lol

The :cuckoo: one is in your mirror friend.

Reply away Y4ANK33. Who actually said you can't? :dunno
I merely asked you what your problem was.

You're acting like you're under some kind of obligation to buy this and suffer its inadequacies for eternity.
Is there something you're not telling us?

Don't like it? Fine. My advise would be don't buy it.
Maybe go and buy some dolls instead.

Have you seen it in person? Why are you saying people should not buy this?
We all make are own informed choices.

As for Spawn, That guy has done nothing but moan since he joined here. Three Galactus Maquettes and three of these returned.
No wonder Sideshow told him they were all the same :lol

I bought one from this retailer, at a decent price, and so did Brett, we're both happy with what we received so may I suggest you move on now? :wave

Oh good I have your permission to reply now, thanks! :lol I stated my problem already, and you opted to reply with, "anyway" b/c you had nothing to offer, so why keep asking? :cuckoo:

I asked you a question that you've yet to answer:

If you're claiming to be the best than you have a standard to live up to, and this clearly is not it. How many Iron Man bust ****-ups is it going to take for apologists to stop making excuses?

Btw, I'll gladly pay for dolls that turn out like the promo pics advertised, thanks for the advice though. And why would anyone need to buy this hunk just to say, "I've seen it in person" when the numerous pics posted tell the story? :cuckoo:

As for Spawn, you deflecting to mock him b/c he may/may not have received broken or other QC ridden products wins you nothing imo but knock yourself out kiddo. :wave

What is it with you and permission? Where exactly did I say you needed permission to reply?

Where did I 'excuse' SS for their mistakes? I said it is what it is, it has issues but i'm happy to pay what I did for it.
Who are you to say I'm wrong for doing that?

May I suggest you follow my advice and refrain from purchasing this and you'll be just fine.
I'm sure you'll stay around to police everyones personal, informed, choices though.
