Hot Toys Movie Masterpiece 1/6 Mandarin Figure

Aha yeah it's a headscratcher, first time I've seen it on a fig.

I might do a bit of digging to see what other bodies have the smaller balljoint in the neck (not sure if a ttm22 does) and see if I can land a bargain somewhere, I know red skull has it, possibly Sweeney todd and I'm hoping the crow does as they can be picked up pretty cheaply at the minute

Would you be interested in a suitable backdrop for this masterpiece figure, like from this scene:

Really liked the design of it and already invested about 6 hours in getting all the details and dimensions from the Blu-ray and repainting it:

To make a backdrop from that I'd have to invest about the same time again for painting it "weathered" accurately,
so if some are interested this may happen.

I am out of town so I don't have access to it at the moment, but I recall in the Art of Iron Man 3 book had a section on all the Mandarin details and stuff about that backdrop and there may be a clearer view scanned from it online somewhere. I can check myself but not for about a week and a half unfortunately.

Not in a rush so that would be pretty cool, thanks! You can see all the parts when you combine some scenes, there even is the 10 rings symbol above, which isn't visible in the "lesson teaching" scene but a clearer view would alway be welcome!

Saw the headline, then the pic loaded and in fact I didn't see this coming.

I never got this figure, I did however buy it's true type body parted out. I wanted some spare true types for my figures. From the pics, it looked just like the DX 11 Joker buck, minus the ankle pegs.

Unfortunately to my dismay, I didn't realize the skin tone on this guy was so dark. That killed my mood as I have no use for it now. The pics on ebay and other stores make it seem like it's a standard caucasian body.

I feel jipped.

I've just ordered this guy to try & complete a nice iron man 3 display, I have iron patriot coming this week also, so those two & workshop Tony in his mechanic outfit and accessories will look great I think.
The face sculpt on Trevor looks absolutely spot on, been wanting this guy for quite a while! Love the outfit & chair accessory as well.
Does he come with a weapon of any kind?

I have a spare iron man helmet for him to hold, but the pose you have is very iconic for him, may try & get him an AK47, I've seen pics of him with one and it looks great, I want to print of a ten rings pic as well, to use as a background.
Really looking forward to getting this guy I think it's gonna look great in my iron man3 display

I use a local company to make mine. I get a piece of art of suitable size and send it to them. They print it out on vinyl and attach it to a piece of foam board. The dimensions i use for a Detolf are 370mm wide and 375 high.

That shield logo looks very cool, I don't actually use detolfs myself, they don't really work well in the room I display my HTs , I like the shelves but that means I'm cleaning my figures obsessively all the time
I actually had a local company make me a background image for my marvel (MCU) figures just to complement them, it was done on Art/photo paper at 120 cm X 60 cm then mounted onto Foamboard & I am very happy with the results & it was very reasonably priced. (Pic below)
I may try to get something similar done for Mandarin, Tony Stark & iron patriot but using an ironman 3 background instead of just the ten rings logo, I'll have to investigate but will wait until they're all on display.
Next weeks going to be a fun week...I have 3 figures coming & it's the Easter weekend after

Had some spare budget this month and decided to get it...got what I expected. Clothing and headsculpt are damn awesome and the figure definately is an eye catcher on the shelve. My girlfriend was just "wtf?!", and she never does this when I get a Terminator, Pred or Alien.
